Leviathan would not let go of you.
Half an hour ago, after Leviathan went on a whole rant about how you couldn’t possibly actually like him because he was gross and weird, you had told him that yes, you ‘did really like him’ and ‘no, this was not a prank’ and it seemed that it had sent Leviathan over the edge.
He had such a tight grip on you that no matter how you twisted or turned, you could not escape.
So now the two of you were stuck on the couch for the time being.
“Are you at least okay?” You patted him on the head. He made an incomprehensible noise. You pitied yourself. Why had the heavens cursed you with attraction to pathetic men?
“I just can’t believe it.” Leviathan seemed to have finally recovered. “I can’t believe it. I tried to kill you once, I knocked you off stage at The Fall and broke your nose, I threw a Ruri-Chan figurine at you because I thought you were Mammon, and you still like me?”
“You’re not hard to like, Levi.” He shoved his face back into your neck, some weird squealing noise coming out of his mouth. “Okay, you’re making it a little hard to like you.”
“I’m sorry, I’ll stop.” You laughed, patting his back before he was back at it again.
“I like your laugh and everything about you but all I do is watch anime and play games and I never go outside, how can I ever compare to you? You’re so cool and you’re like a human ambassador and you’re probably gonna be rich one day and I don’t even know how to date someone! Kissing someone makes me so nervous, what if I bite your entire face off? That’d be bad, so bad, and you’d never forgive me because you’d probably die!”
Oh man. You covered your face. Oh man. He was so embarrassing that it made you embarrassed for him.
“And I mean, have you looked at you? Have you looked at me? I have such a big forehead, have you ever seen it? Oh my god, what if you just found out and now you don’t want to be with me? OMG! I’ve never told you that I dye my hair, did you know that? Do you think it’s lame that my hair isn’t naturally purple? Do you dye your hair? Please tell me you do because if not—”
“Levi! Please, for the love all things unholy, calm down.” You took your hands off your face. “Calm down. I like you, you like me. It is that simple.”
“It’s… that simple. Right LOL.” He sat up, his weight crushing you into the couch below you. “Haha…. I think I’m going insane. Can you just tell me you hate me so I don’t have to worry about this anymore?”
“Nope.” You smiled when he groaned and curled up into himself. You sat up and pried his hands away from his face. “Don’t worry, Levi. We’ll work on that confidence of yours.”
“It’s non existent…” He sniffled but then hugged you again. “Thank you. For um… liking me.”
“You’re welcome?” You smiled awkwardly, pulling him closer before he could pull away. “But, Levi… could it be that you possibly like hugging?”
“Wha—?! No!” Leviathan tried to push away from you but you held on with all your might. He gave up quickly, not wanting to hurt you by adding too much strength. “Ugh… just as usual for a normie.” You were still not quite sure what he considered normie like and un-normie like so you decided not to say anything.
“I love you.” He took in a deep inhale and looked away, muttering something incomprehensible out. “What?”
“I… I love you too.” Towards the end of his sentence, his voice rose a few octaves.
