When she's far enough to be barely seen, Osamu rushes towards her; catching up to the woman in a split second and knocking her down as he passes by. 

Screaming is useless, he wants to say as he grabs her neck to keep her on the ground.  She kicks and squirms under him, trying to free herself. The woman cries and pleads.

But fighting is also useless, Osamu wants to say as he sinks his fangs into her neck.
