I feel like Hajime would've been apart of the gang (Fuyuhiko, Kazuichi, and Nagito) in Hopes Peak if Natsumi had like invited Hajime over to the Kuzuryu Manor. I genuinely believe that, despite being a Reserve Course Student, Hajime would fit right in with them.

To expand on the Gang; I think Fuyuhiko really takes care of Kazuichi and Nagito. He pays for Nagito's medical bills and lets Nagito pretty much live in the manor. He has Kazuichi over so often that Pinky practically lives there, too. The servants in the manor know both boys by name. Kazuichi and Nagito might even have their own rooms because of how often their there.

If Hajime was apart of the gang, he'd get the same treatment, if not slightly better. Being friends with both Kuzuryu children, and being very close Fuyuhiko was definitely odd, but welcome. Everyone looked the other way, even smiling whenever they saw how they pretty much clung to each other.

If Hajime went through with being an experiment for the school, no one would be surprised to see Fuyuhiko going on a rampage and trying to find Hajime, even though he was angry at Hajime for going through with it. No one would've been surprised if they saw Fuyuhiko come back home covered in blood a few weeks later with a much more muted Hajime trailing right behind him. No one would've batted an eye at him taking care of Hajime and the rest of his gang like his life depended on it, especially after not being able to save Natsumi.

There is a little detail I find interesting in SDR2. In Chapter 6 when you have Hajime go through glitchy Hope's Peak, he was not able to enter this particular room on the 5th floor. The pixels blocked it off so that he was not allowed to go inside.

According to the 1st game (THH), what's in this room is the bloody classroom.

It's strange that Hajime can't enter this particular room because Fuyuhiko mentioned that he himself was able to enter it during the exploration of the 5th floor. He was able to enter that room but Hajime is not allowed to?

I'm pretty sure the reason why is obvious.

If Hajime were to enter that bloody classroom, there would be a risk that he would regain some of his memories back of his time as Izuru, because he was involved in that incident. Monokuma deliberately blocked him from that room so that AI Junko can use it against him during the final class trial.

I just find that little detail interesting 😌

I was looking through all of Silver's voice lines and I noticed that almost every time Yuu interacts with Silver, there has to be a mention of him looking good, fixing up his clothes, etc. implying (to me at least) that Yuu actively seeks out conversation with him in some way?

I could make a whole fic about them just using Silver's lines from his cards and events and the main storyline I kid you not 😭

For instance, I don't have these cards but:

In his Dorm Uniform card, he says: "Hm? My hat's crooked? Thanks for straightening it out."

In his Birthday Jacket card, it's: "What's the centerpiece of my look today? I haven't thought about it, but I guess it'd be my white sneakers. They're easy to move in too."

Halloween card: "Ah, you straightened my hat. The horns look wrong if they're even slightly askew, so thank you."

Platinum Jacket: "What a dazzling outfit. I suppose when I wear it I must be ALL silver... It looks good, you think? I'm glad."

And then we get these gems, which show Silver slowly but surely opening up to Yuu:

Birthday Bloom: "Ah, it's you. Perfect timing. Why don't we head to the balcony so I can introduce you to the birds?"

I know Silver is just expressing thanks and sharing a moment of vulnerability, but also add on to the fact that this is a boy who is so cool, calm, and collected, that even he couldn't admit to his own father that he didn't want him to leave school.

I'd be asking Lilia for his son's hand in marriage after the whole Book 7 fiasco just because of this line 😭

An analysis of the trio of light, their emotions and their cards from book 7

WARNINGS: bias, overthinking, yapping, delulu, spoilers from book 7, personal theories, daydreaming and thousands of other things.

In all of Twst, so far, there are only 3 characters with light magic. These are Rook Hunt, Silver Vanrouge and Kalim Al Asim. And they, in turn, are the only ones who during book 7 won cards with the same element present.

The only sources of light in the game are also the only ones who cry during their cards. Even though in the main story they are not the only ones who cry in moments of stress or relief, Ruggie for example, they are the only ones who have received cards crying.

Initially I found this a curious choice, but the more you analyze it the more you realize that this occurrence comes from how, unlike most characters, these cards reflect the end of an internal arc for them.

Rook: Throughout book 6, Rook gives hints about how much Vil's overblot affected him psychologically. He talks about nightmares very briefly, and how he still seems stuck in that moment to the point that he risks EVERYTHING to save Vil, even though he knows how irresponsible he is being.

Rook feels guilt, he blames himself completely for Vil's overblot and it clearly haunts him psychologically. It's something that eats away at him, something that is so deep that it even affected his dreams, and that in a twisted way kept Rook far away from Vil in his dream world.

It was this guilt that woke him up, this regret, this sadness, this trauma that haunts him completely. And this is reflected in his card, being the first time we see Rook without his barriers, the guilt, pain and sadness dripping from every expression. He loves Vil, and this pain, the feeling of being a traitor, hurts him more than any arrow.

And it is in this pain that we see Rook's true facet. A boy who loves too much, who feels too much, but who hid it all with his hunter's mask. But as a contemporary poet would say, he is just a man who was making an irrelevant choice but at the same time changed everything.

Kalim: In many ways, Kalim carries a toxic positivity. He tries to see the good side of everything and everyone as much as possible, but he constantly ignores his own discomfort or completely negative emotions.

What is not good, what is not healthy, the way Kalim lives in eternal denial and always suppressing EVERYTHING inside himself.

Until he became furious. In that dream, with that version that practically mocks Jamil, Kalim found himself completely irritated and disgusted. Angry at himself, angry at Malleus and angry at everything that had happened before. It is in this anger that Kalim finally fully computes the events of book 4, it is in this anger that he understands his own feelings and those of others.

He cries because he is frustrated, angry and tired. He cries for everything he has been through, for everything he has been denied, and he cries because it was all stupid and unfair. Kalim, who constantly smiles and brings joy, for the first time is completely tired of the fake smiles and his own denial of reality. Smiling would not change his and Jamil's situation, smiling was not helping him at all.

From a passive smile to determined anger.

Silver: The only one of the three whose tears did not come from stress or frustration, but from pure and genuine relief.

Unlike the others, Silver has always had difficulty showing what he feels. It is said several times that people cannot tell what he is feeling. He has always been different from the others because of this.

"Too human for the fairies."

"Too fairy for humans."

This is actually a very present theme in Silver's narrative, and during book 7 the human factor is put in his face as a doubt. A doubt about Lilia's love and his place by Malleus' side.

At every moment the need to choose, to hide a past he never knew, to discover what his real role is in the narrative of this story. Is he the knight in shining armor who will kill the monster? Is he the prince of an enemy kingdom, who will once again make the same mistakes as his father? Is he one of Malleus Draconiana's followers, trying his best to save his prince from himself?

And the answer? He is Silver Vanrouge, son of Lilia Vanrouge and brother of Malleus. He is not a prince or a knight, he is a brother, a friend and a son. He, who managed to save the people he loved so much, cries with joy and relief for this.

Silver reached his happy ending, surrounded by people who loved him as much as he loved them. People who could not care less where he came from, because the fact was clear who he was.

He was Lilia's little boy, who would fall asleep anywhere spontaneously and unexpectedly.

He was Malleus' little brother, who always smiled in his presence and who always wanted to stay by his side.

He was Sebek's rival, who grew up together both in power and internally. The one who would be by his side, both with the same dream and desire.

They all cry for the same reason, as they have finally finished their stories.

The hunter is still loved by the queen, as she never saw his actions as a betrayal.

The sultan and the sorcerer finally understand each other, they finally understand that they complement each other and do not depend on each other. And together, they can achieve freedom.

The little soldier can now finally smile with relief, as he has finally acquired proof that he has a home to return to.

This is actually a very present theme in Silver's narrative, and during book 7 the human factor is put in his face as a doubt. A doubt about Lilia's love and his place by Malleus' side.

At every moment the need to choose, to hide a past he never knew, to discover what his real role is in the narrative of this story. Is he the knight in shining armor who will kill the monster? Is he the prince of an enemy kingdom, who will once again make the same mistakes as his father? Is he one of Malleus Draconiana's followers, trying his best to save his prince from himself?

And the answer? He is Silver Vanrouge, son of Lilia Vanrouge and brother of Malleus. He is not a prince or a knight, he is a brother, a friend and a son. He, who managed to save the people he loved so much, cries with joy and relief for this.

Silver reached his happy ending, surrounded by people who loved him as much as he loved them. People who could not care less where he came from, because the fact was clear who he was.

He was Lilia's little boy, who would fall asleep anywhere spontaneously and unexpectedly.

He was Malleus' little brother, who always smiled in his presence and who always wanted to stay by his side.

He was Sebek's rival, who grew up together both in power and internally. The one who would be by his side, both with the same dream and desire.

They all cry for the same reason, as they have finally finished their stories.

The hunter is still loved by the queen, as she never saw his actions as a betrayal.

The sultan and the sorcerer finally understand each other, they finally understand that they complement each other and do not depend on each other. And together, they can achieve freedom.

The little soldier can now finally smile with relief, as he has finally acquired proof that he has a home to return to.

An analysis of the trio of light, their emotions and their cards from book 7

WARNINGS: bias, overthinking, yapping, delulu, spoilers from book 7, personal theories, daydreaming and thousands of other things.

In all of Twst, so far, there are only 3 characters with light magic. These are Rook Hunt, Silver Vanrouge and Kalim Al Asim. And they, in turn, are the only ones who during book 7 won cards with the same element present.

The only sources of light in the game are also the only ones who cry during their cards. Even though in the main story they are not the only ones who cry in moments of stress or relief, Ruggie for example, they are the only ones who have received cards crying.

Initially I found this a curious choice, but the more you analyze it the more you realize that this occurrence comes from how, unlike most characters, these cards reflect the end of an internal arc for them.

Rook: Throughout book 6, Rook gives hints about how much Vil's overblot affected him psychologically. He talks about nightmares very briefly, and how he still seems stuck in that moment to the point that he risks EVERYTHING to save Vil, even though he knows how irresponsible he is being.

Rook feels guilt, he blames himself completely for Vil's overblot and it clearly haunts him psychologically. It's something that eats away at him, something that is so deep that it even affected his dreams, and that in a twisted way kept Rook far away from Vil in his dream world.

It was this guilt that woke him up, this regret, this sadness, this trauma that haunts him completely. And this is reflected in his card, being the first time we see Rook without his barriers, the guilt, pain and sadness dripping from every expression. He loves Vil, and this pain, the feeling of being a traitor, hurts him more than any arrow.

And it is in this pain that we see Rook's true facet. A boy who loves too much, who feels too much, but who hid it all with his hunter's mask. But as a contemporary poet would say, he is just a man who was making an irrelevant choice but at the same time changed everything.

Kalim: In many ways, Kalim carries a toxic positivity. He tries to see the good side of everything and everyone as much as possible, but he constantly ignores his own discomfort or completely negative emotions.

What is not good, what is not healthy, the way Kalim lives in eternal denial and always suppressing EVERYTHING inside himself.

Until he became furious. In that dream, with that version that practically mocks Jamil, Kalim found himself completely irritated and disgusted. Angry at himself, angry at Malleus and angry at everything that had happened before. It is in this anger that Kalim finally fully computes the events of book 4, it is in this anger that he understands his own feelings and those of others.

He cries because he is frustrated, angry and tired. He cries for everything he has been through, for everything he has been denied, and he cries because it was all stupid and unfair. Kalim, who constantly smiles and brings joy, for the first time is completely tired of the fake smiles and his own denial of reality. Smiling would not change his and Jamil's situation, smiling was not helping him at all.

From a passive smile to determined anger.

Silver: The only one of the three whose tears did not come from stress or frustration, but from pure and genuine relief.

Unlike the others, Silver has always had difficulty showing what he feels. It is said several times that people cannot tell what he is feeling. He has always been different from the others because of this.

Malleus, Sebek, and Lilia as Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather

Lilia is definitely more emblematic of all three fairies as he raised Silver, a human, since he was a baby in his cottage that is the same as the fairies.

His bad cooking and eagerness towards having a baby definitely comes from Fauna. However, Diasomnia is comprised of three fae and a human, and there’s little elements of the fairies in Malleus and Sebek also!

Malleus as Flora

Malleus prefers Silver in pink as Flora does Aurora (in such a fun callback to the pink and blue debate of Aurora's dress but with Silver's cape!)

Though in some retellings of Sleeping Beauty, the kingdom's sleep is attached to the Princess's curse, in Sleeping Beauty 1959, Flora is the fairy who decided to put all the humans to sleep, just as Malleus did during his overblot.

Funnily enough, she did so because she was worried about how upset the kingdom would be once they found out Aurora's curse came into fruition. In a way, she is also using a sleep spell to preserve people's happiness just as Malleus intended.

Flora also tries to hide her emotions as Malleus has had to. Lilia also does this to some extent, but Malleus does so more for the safety of others and, especially with Silver, not wanting others to feel sad.

Sebek as Fauna

Sebek and Fauna both respect following the rules set up by their superiors. Fauna doesn't want to disobey Aurora's arrangement to a prince as it isn't their place to do so, just as Sebek repeatedly struggled with disobeying the will of Malleus in book 7.

Fauna and Sebek are also both very emotional, Sebek even quotes her ‘I love happy endings’ while crying watching Silver and his family dance happily

Lilia as Merryweather

Lilia prefers Silver in blue as Merryweather does Aurora!

Merryweather is protective, often trying to fight to defend Aurora and needing to be held back by the other fairies. She even kills diablo! The same can be said about Lilia, who is adept at fighting with a military background and sacrificed himself for Silver twice in book 7

Merryweather wants Aurora to do what she wants with her life, even declaring that she doesn't think Aurora should marry a prince if she doesn't want to, just as Lilia wants Silver to be free to live whatever life he wants and not be burdened by the past

In conclusion, although a lot of these traits are definitely shared amongst the three/primarily held by Lilia, I do like seeing a bit of the three fairies in Silver's current fae found family as opposed to just the three fairies that spelled him to sleep 400 years ago. Twst please give me more of this dynamic please please pleaseeeee 🥺
