Are you people still alive? It's just this podfic is the best thing I have ever listened to and I know the story is amazing but the quality of the podfic is top tier, I was just wondering if you're going to do any more?

Hi! The old music director here. Unfortunately the podfic is on indefinite hiatus, to the best of my knowledge.

A lot of people involved just sort of naturally drifted apart, which is perfectly understandable when there are so many people in one project. Life doesn’t always lead us where we thought we’d go.

Can I say for certain it will never live again? No. But I can be fairly certain it would be different than how it was planned. At this point it seems rather unlikely.

That said I, and I’m sure anyone else who was involved who might still check things around here out, definitely still appreciate knowing that you enjoy the podfic so much! There was a lot of heart and effort put into it.

At long last, we are pleased to present to our faithful listeners the teaser trailer for Chapter 6. We’re working with a new system for compiling lines, so from hereon out you may expect that three chapters will be released in (relatively) short succession, with a slightly longer break between. (Additionally, since HD is teaching, finishing her dissertation and looking for work, it’s also a little bit her fault that things have been a little delayed this time around.) 

In any case, enjoy the trailer and we look forward to releasing Chapter 6 in the near future. Now as always, see below the cut for full attribution.

We will absolutely be doing more auditions, very very soon! We’re not nearly finished casting, so keep an eye out for that announcement.

As for music auditions, that’s all handled by our awesome @notanightlight, who is the Music Director as well as the voice of Gimrís. She posts periodic updates and information in the sansukh auditions tag.

Hello to all of you singers and Sansûkh lovers!  It’s time to prepare for another group number.  It’s been a little while since the last time, so I’d like to get another idea of who might be interested.

The piece will be the Mourning Song which you can listen to by clicking Here!

This will be a smaller ensemble, so if you are interested in auditioning, please email me at [email protected] by April 17th.

Once everyone interested has contacted me, I will send out an email with instructions for auditioning.  We will be looking for Sopranos, Mezzo Sopranos, Altos, and Tenor/Barritones.  I expect to have 3-4 voices per part.

hi this is weird but i can ONLY play the trailers IF it's on your page. if i find it in the tag or even reblog it, it will NOT play :/ i;m super excited about this project and am very upset that i can't play it anywhere else D:

:/ We’ve had some issues with Tumblr’s audio hosting. For example, the number of times people have listened to our trailers is... zero according to the counter. We’re fairly sure this isn’t true. But yes, tumblr audio is broken, and I am not sure if we could fix this, or if other people have been having this issue. If any of our lovely followers has a fix for this or has experienced the same problem, please feel free to DM us and we’ll fix it if we can.

I don't mean to be annoying, but any idea when you might be opening the next round of auditions? I love what you guys are doing and thank you!!!!

You are not annoying us. We are always thrilled to hear folks are interested in auditioning! This isn’t set in stone, since there are so many factors that influence how quickly we are able to produce chapters, but we anticipate the next round of auditions happening sometime in the spring. Thanks for your question, and we look forward to hearing what you (and everyone else) has for us then! In the meanwhile, thanks so much for your support. It means the world to us.

I just tried to download the MP3 version of the 5th chapter's podfic, but when I clicked on the link, it let me listen to it but not download it. Is something wrong? I like to put them on my phone and listen to them when I'm not busy at work or when I'm walking, it's an awesome way to pass the time :)

If you go to the Archive of our Own page, you can right-click on the mp3 link and click save-as. That should download the chapter for you. :]

Hi :) I was wondering if every character has been cast for the later chapters? Unfortunately, I've only just discovered the fic and I'm already in utter love. You've only just released Chapter 5 and the character slide is incomplete, so I thought there might still be roles that you haven't cast.

Hey anon! We have not, in fact, cast everyone. Far from it! If you visit our tumblr page and click on “Cast”, we have a list of the roles that have been filled already. We’re doing rounds of auditions as we go (we’ve had two so far). We’re not sure when we’ll do the next casting call, but when we do, we will announce it on this space along with instructions for how to submit an audition. So keep an eye out - we look forward to hearing your reading.

Um, the mp3 link takes you somewhere to stream it, but I don't see anywhere to download it. Sorry, I'm just a little bummed because I download the podfics and listen to them at work when I don't have customers, and streaming them doesn't work because I don't have WiFi there.

Hey anon! Thanks for the question. To download, I would go to the chapter you want to download on a03, and right-click the “MP3″ link. On the menu that pops up, click “save link as.”

(This should work on the tumblr version as well, although I tried that and it didn’t work for some reason. But it definitely worked on the a03 page - go figure.)
