For a few seconds, with her mind feeling like it’s not entirely her’s, Harriet feels great. The insatiable gnawing in her stomach had finally been satisfied. It was like drinking a cold glass of water on a hot day. Then, all at once, she comes back to herself, and the reality of the situation set in.
The front of her shirt and pants is covered in blood, and even though she doesn’t remember what happened, she doesn’t have any injuries, so the blood could only have come from one place.
Harriet forces herself to look to her left, and lets out a strangled cry at what she sees.
Bobby Miller’s corpse is mangled, with one of his arms ripped off and a deep hole in his torso, bite marks scattered around the surrounding area. He stares up at her with empty eyes, and Harriet puts her hands over her face so she doesn’t have to look back. She starts sobbing, but it feels like everytime she tries to make a sound it gets caught in her throat, so they come out as whimpers.
She tries to make herself remember what happened, but it’s almost as if she blacked out.
“Blacked out.” Harriet thinks, “And the last time I blacked out was at Susan Ripley’s party last week, which was right before-”
Her internal narrative reaches a screeching halt.
The last time she blacked out like this was right before she got sick, right before the pains in her stomach and nausea had started. The pains and nausea that had stopped as soon has she had Bobby’s blood in her mouth.
Then it hits her, the memories of what had happened over the past hour.
She and Bobby were on a date, and they went to the park late at night. She had lagged behind, as her stomach began to hurt, this time worse than ever. It got so bad she had doubled over in the grass, and when Bobby had reached out to help her, she had grabbed his arm and-
Harriet forces herself to stop that train of thought. She doesn’t need to remember what happened next, she knows from the corpse next to her and the taste of blood on her tongue.
Because she had eaten him.
Those pains in her stomach, they weren’t symptoms from a fever like she had thought, they were hunger pains.
“If I was hungry, I’m going to have to eat again.” Harriet thinks, even though she doesn’t like what this might mean. But there, in a public park at two in the morning, covered in blood, she makes a decision.
She can’t stay here. She has to leave town, and she has to do so before morning comes.
Harriet takes in a shaky breath, before she stumbles to her feet and starts to walk out of the park.
Personality: (ESTP) she’s very outgoing and loves doing reckless things. She loves teasing people but is really affectionate about it. She whines when the boys won’t give her attention and constantly wants cuddles (which Paul loves). She constantly picks fights with the surf nazis but she doesn’t like ending them, she always lets the boys finish them off. She goes to the thrift store at least once a week and she has to buy a tacky jacket/button up before she leaves. (Yes that’s a personality trait)
Extra Information: She was turned by Marko when she witnessed him feeding when she was walking her dog. She tried running away but he easily caught her, and she tried to get her dog to run away without her. She put up a fight which Marko admired (along with her protecting her dog) and decided to turn her at the last second. She decided to feed after only one day which made Marko know that he made a good choice.

Personality: Spencer is quite excitable and commonly seems quite in over their head, and easily distracted. Very commonly hyperfixates on things, and is very affectionate to their friends. They can get anxious very quickly and their mood can change very fast, and will commonly take to essentially hiding behind their friends and looking to them for support. They can get very emotional at times, but they are usually at least slightly reasonable.
Extra Information: Turned by the Lost Boys. Cannot ride a bike and refuses to learn. Wears platform shoes daily in an attempt to look taller. Does not own a single unaltered T-shirt.
