Press for Superman has been going on a little while now, and I feel like the constant theme for myself is being completely out of touch with most everything in recent pop culture. Like I can't tell you if I'm having a brat summer, because I have no idea what that means. Don't ask me what my favorite song release from the last year is, because chances are good I haven't heard any songs from that timeframe. I feel like reporters are often either frustrated by me or mystified by me for having no idea about these things. Though lucky for them, my costars are there to carry me through by explaining things and make up for me being completely clueless with all their knowledge. So, when someone compared me to Miranda Priestley and her assistants for how much they have to feed me information, I got excited because hey, I actually recognized that reference. I'll be happy when press is over and I can retreat back into my world of old time jazz, Star Wars, and my daughter. But in the meantime, while I'm still doing press, if you haven't seen Superman, do us all a solid and check it out. | @gonehollywoodstarters
well, unless you're living a carefree, party girl lifestyle, love -- i have a feeling you're not having a brat summer. you don't give me the whole messy attitude vibe either, you give me a golden retriever vibe, truly, and i love it. so, you've really no clue what a good song from the last year is? like you're not listening to pink pony club or anything like that? i love it! but it has me curious -- what's your favorite song then? if i was a reporter, i would think you were an enigma that i needed to learn more about, so maybe others feel that way too and aren't frustrated by you! but it's always the best when you've got costars that can carry you, yeah? since you're a fan of old time jazz, who are some of your favorites? and got to love star wars, so you can't go wrong with that. and how old is your daughter? i just had my first, a son, a few months ago, and retreating into the world of my son has been my favorite thing in the world to do. i've not seen superman yet, though, but i plan on it because the promo you guys did sold me on seeing it. you all did a fantastic job with the promo! my former partner will have our son this weekend -- and that's when i'm going to go see it with some mates, and i can't wait! || @corenswethq
That's the sign of best friend-ship, when you can tease each other on a regular basis and it's totally anormal thing. Anyone who's right for you will think kissing you before you jump off a cliff is the most natural thing in the world, darling. I just know I wasn't the easiest person to be around given I was an addict so many years, so I'll always take ownership on that. Hey, if you're friends with some of your exes, that's definitely a win in my book! I'm laughing at feeling like you're in a shower with Satan, but hey, if it's cold and that warms you up, I can't blame you there! I mean, it doesn't seem entirely unrealistic for a serial killer to take a cold shower before a murder! That's awesome that you surf, and you know that means we need to tackle some waves together sometime! Seriously, I'm glad breaking my ankle taught me a lesson because now, I'm not trying to impress anyone but my girl, and she'd never advocate for me doing anything that would end in broken bones. We're already the best of friends, and you know I'll be aiming for the same when it comes to your little one, too! Oh, trust me when I say your ancestors would be proud of you, much more than mine would be of me. I'm going to draw the limit at you swimming with polar bears because that's meeting certain death, and we need you alive! well, can't say you two haven't been sharing body heat given the baby, so you know! Though how's he been with all of it since the news? Which I know that means you'll have to put any sky diving on hold for the moment, unless you managed to squeeze them in before you found out. I'm so glad you at least got to coaster under your belt and even liked it! I'll have to check that out myself, and drag Anya along for the adventure once she's not filming. And the holiday was great! We ended up spending it in our new farmhouse, since we managed to sign on it just before the holidays. You'll have to come see it when you get the chance! Though how are you feeling? I hope both mum and baby are doing well! | @saoirseur
that is very true -- and i love having those kinds of friendships with people. honestly, i love to tease someone and have them tease me right back. well, now that i've had my son, i can think about jumping off a cliff again! and even though his father and i aren't together, i feel like he'll kiss me before i jump, so there's that. i can understand not being the easiest to be around when you're dealing with active addiction, but at least it's something you own up to, and you don't make excuses for it, you know? you're a delight now, and i can't imagine anyone not liking you, truth be told. well, i'm such good friends with one of my exes we're parents now, though i'm not sure i should suggest people go that hard with a friendship. that's the best part of showering when it's hot as hell, but right now my skin is breaking out, which i guess happens after pregnancy -- so i can't take devil showers anymore! the hot water isn't good for your skin, so lukewarm showers for me only, and it's the worst, jamie. i'm starting to understand why serial killers kill if they do take cold showers. i'm all game to surf with you, just tell me when! especially if it has us meeting in la, because i've been wanting to head there in the future. it's so cute, though, that you would do anything to impress your girl. i hope you know that, right? especially when i'm pretty sure your girl is impressed by you just existing. speaking of being the best of friends with my little one, you got to come to ireland to meet him! or i could come to you so you can meet him! you're sweet to say that my ancestors would be proud of me. do you think they would, knowing i've had a baby with a scot? i'm laughing a little, but don't worry, i've got a lot to live for now, so i'll not swim with the polar bears! i'm sorry, i just cracked up at that, but you're right, we did share body heat, and that's pretty much how the baby happened. but jack's been amazing, honestly. when i told him, he was so understanding. he was a little dumb and tried to convince me we needed to be married, but i was like, yeah, no, we can do this without marriage. and i think we've got this co-parenting thing down pretty well. jack's living in ireland for six months, and i'll live in scotland for six months. that way oisรญn is growing up in both countries, and we're able to still spend time together as a family and have one on one time too. i'm sad about the skydiving, but as soon as oisรญn is a year old, i'm going to go and you're coming with me, okay? anya too! did you end up going on that roller coaster i told you about? if you did, i hope you and anya enjoyed it! unless she's still filming? or are you filming now? also, i love that you guys have a farmhouse, and i really do need to come see it! again, i need a reason to come to la -- so just tell me when i can, alright? also, i'm feeling amazing. being a mam, is the best feeling in the world. and oisรญn is growing like a weed! i can't wait for you and anya to meet him, though, and he's got jack's redhair! || @bowerhqs
SAOIRSE RONAN during the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2026
Do you ever have those random moments when you realize being an adult is such a great thing? Looking past all the ways it's sometimes stressful, I mean, and just embracing the personal perks of adulthood? For instance, my parents used to only allow us one, maybe two sugary treats a month in our household, and that's if we were lucky. So of course now, I eat desserts damn near every day, and there's always a lot of excitement around having cupcakes or donuts or iced coffee, all the things I know would have made my parents cringe. Not to mention all the occasions for celebratory cake. And I always do that with a lot of delight because hey, I can make or order and eat as many treats as I'd like. Never claimed I was a responsible adult, but you know, if that means having sweets, that's fine with me. So, what's your favorite part about adulthood? And if it's eating sweets like it's the case with me, maybe we can share some cupcakes. | @gonehollywoodstarters
i think it's a little bit of both -- i have those random moments where being an adult is such a great thing, and then moments where i can't help but wonder how i can become a child again. right now i'm a new mam, and the lack of a sleep schedule is making me wish i was a kid again with a bedtime! but other than that, the perks of adulthood, of course, outweigh being a kid again any day. my mam was a lot like that with sweets too, and i'd always try to sneak them and always get caught and get them taken away from me. so the minute i got older, i think i started consuming way more sweets than one should, so i get it. and i never turn down a cake. i feel like you can have one for anything, aye? and it's nice when you can make or order as many sweets as you'd like without a single judgment or someone telling you no, i should say, because i'm sure you're being judged by your mam, right? so i'd have to say that sweets are a very good perk of adulthood, and i'm always open to sharing cupcakes with anyone. though another perk of adulthood is getting to watch whatever you want as well, my mam never let me watch scary stuff or anything she deemed improper! i'm glad i can watch what i want now! || @dastmalchianhq
I can't blame you for contemplating cliff jumping before doing it again, and maybe the time will give you some perspective on whether you liked it or not. Though you sound like you're becoming rather the champion at polar bear plunges, so maybe that's more your speed than cliff jumping! I appreciate the compliments, and I'd say maybe I've grown out of having bad skin, though it's more having a wife who knows more about taking care of it well than I do, so that helps! Don't discredit yourself on the banana bread, especially if it hit the spot as far as your craving! You know I'd work with you again in a heartbeat, so all we need is a proper project for the two of us. I didn't do any cold water diving in Norway, though I still had a great time with Lil and the kids! And we got to tour plenty of fun museums, so that's always something fun for them. You're sweet to say that about our family, and I'm quite sure you'll be an incredible mum! I guess sibling rivalry isn't bad as long as it stays fun and not intense. Which thankfully our parents always kept Daisy and I in check. I'm glad you got to see the kids in Norway as well, and you know we always welcome visits from you! And wait, you're pregnant?! Well firstly, congratulations! I'm glad to hear you're happy about it, though I could understand some nerves when you weren't expecting it. What about the father, is he excited as well? being a parent always comes with a little fear, so it's not unusual, if that makes it any better at all. And of course we'll still send photos, not to mention the kids will be happy with a new playmate! I know I'll be excited to see Bad Apples and like it as much as The Outrun! I appreciate that you've seen The End as well! It's a plan then, and you know I'll be happy to meet your little one, of course! The kids always grow way too quickly, so definitely be prepared for that! Hawaii wouldn't be a bad post-baby holiday when you're up to traveling again. You'll be working on something soon? Though I hope you're not taking on too much! It was good to see you in Norway as well, and don't worry about it since now, I can certainly understand what was on your mind! | @saoirseur
well, i feel like it might be a while before i decide to jump off a cliff again -- but only because i got my wee one to worry about now, but maybe once he's a bit older, i'll do some cliff jumping again! however, i am getting good at polar bear plunges, and i'm not saying i'd not do another one of those again soon, my body might need it! see, that was going to be my next question because i'll admit to being jealous of lily-rose's flawless skin and wondered if she had a skin routine that she was passing on to you! since the pregnancy, i've been breaking out like crazy -- i might have to reach out to your wife and find out what she does to keep her skin looking so good. seriously, i wouldn't be shocked if oisรญn is already addicted to banana bread with as much as i made and ate it while i was pregnant with him! i'm all for doing another project with the two of us as well, love, we'll have to manifest it! i'm glad you had such a great time with lily-rose and the kids in norway, and i love that you went to fun museums with them and that your kids are into museums, honestly! i think i'm doing alright as a mam so far. i mean, i love oisรญn so much already and can't imagine my life without him, so there's that. i have a feeling your kids will be like that with sibling rivalry too, you know? you've got such great kids already, i can see them being like that still as they get older. though how are the twins and beau doing with the newborn twins? which, that was a big surprise, and congrats on that! since you're always welcome to visits from me, i've got some business in london soon and was hoping i could come see you and the family so you guys can meet oisรญn! i know my pregnancy was a bit of a shock, but thank you so much for the congrats, and honestly, i didn't have him that many days after you and lily-rose had the new twins! i'll admit i cried a lot when i first found out, but a friend was with me, and he helped me out big time. and the father was very excited and very much a part of his life as well. we're going to stay good friends and be co-parents together. oh goodness, i was scared up until i had him, and i'm still scared, but the first moment i looked at him, i just felt better, you know? hey, you better send me photos of those new twins of yours, but i want to see the rest of the kids too, and i'll send you some of oisรญn as well! but i'm most excited about you guys getting to see him in person, he's really the greatest little baby, though i know all mam's say that. he's already gotten so big i feel like, and it's like, no, slow down, so thank you for preparing me for how quickly they grow! i'll admit i'm a little nervous about traveling with him. when did you guys feel comfortable traveling with your little ones? and i will be! i'm working on a film with austin called deep cuts, but it shouldn't be too much! did you guys go to kentucky? i skipped out because i felt like oisรญn was too young and wondered if you did the same because of the new twins. || @mackayhq
What's life if you're not a little bit stubborn though, right? I always have fun doing natural related trips, and I'm with you that there were some pretty views in Utah, and in Norway too! I enjoyed myself in both places and got some amazing pictures out of the deal, too. As an American, I can vouch for us saying both of those things, but either way, we know that guy isn't normal when he enjoyed polar bear plunges on a regular basis. The pictures turned out incredibly, which is wonderful when it made swimming in the freezing water worth it! I'll have to send them to you, see how you like them and judge if they were worth the trip. Just the truth, and honestly, anyone who meets her would agree that she's a force. Is your family makes tasteless jokes and being Irish a good way to honor you, though? Because personally, I'd love it if the people closest made jokes at my funeral. Just as long as they balance them out with nice things, of course. I'm laughing a little at the thought of those JC Penny photos being at your funeral, and I'm thinking people won't have a chance to be sad when they'll be laughing so much. I hope the people I know would be impressed anyway, and laughing at my selfie since I officially have to do a picture like that now. That's crazy the guy was flying his own plane, though like you said, there's such a romanticism to going out doing something you really love, so kudos to him on that. Maybe that's part of how bears lure in dinner, they'll count on everyone thinking they'd cuddly and surprise them by eating their faces instead. You can't say they're not clever! I didn't end up doing any shots for the artic dive, so you should be all the more proud of me, I feel like. Did you end up polar plunging again when we went to Norway then? I want to know if you kept up the tradition. I'm glad we're giving our friends grief for not introducing us soon, especially Timothee. Although since we're going to be in a film together, do you think we manifested this ourselves? Because it wasn't our friends' doing at all! I'm looking forward to filming with you though, and I'm betting it'll be a lot of fun. | @saoirseur
i agree with you there -- and honestly, i like being a little bit stubborn! i always have fun doing trips like that as well, i love the nature! but you're right that utah and norway were gorgeous, and i'm so glad that you got the amazing photos that you did. i love that you take photos everywhere you go! hey, i agree with you about someone not being normal if he enjoys polar bear plunges on a regular basis, that's just crazy to me and i'm shivering just thinking about it! i'm so glad your photos turned out so great from your arctic trip! and glad that it made swimming in the water worth it because the photos you sent me were gorgeous, and i loved seeing them. so they were very worth the trip if you ask me! i'm just glad you guys had the fun that you did, honestly. oh, love, when you're irish they make tasteless jokes at your funeral, but they also get piss-ass drunk as well, and often they bury you with a half of whiskey! honestly, i'd rather people be laughing at my funeral than be crying, you know? because i like to believe i make people laugh more than i make them cry, and i want that same feeling after i'm gone. i'm glad you like my idea of those jc penny photos. they're perfect though right? and right? i mean, when you're that old and still doing what you love, i'm so impressed with that. and to know that his final moments were doing something that was so important to him, i bet he's smiling still. i'm dying thinking about bears doing that to lure people in -- i saw this video on tiktok of a bear sitting up and waving at a car driving by, and i thought that would be the day i died because i would stop the car and be like, hello, cutie. and that's when i would have gotten my face eaten off! bears are super smart, though! and really? i love that you went into that arctic dive sober, that's very impressive, and i am very proud! i wasn't feeling very well when we were in norway so i didn't get the chance -- which was probably for the best since i had found out i was pregnant on the last day of the trip! oh, believe me, i've not let timothee off the hook about not introducing us, he really feels the rath of me. can i just say how excited i am to work with you? i mean, we might have manifested this ourselves, which i'm not mad about, because you're so talented and i really wanted to work with you! but you're right, our friends had no involvement in this, it was all us! but it is going to be a lot of fun and i can't wait. plus, you'll get to meet my son! he's the reason why i wasn't in kentucky this weekend, which i'm a little sad about missing, but he's not even three weeks old yet, so i knew he was too young for the trip. || @butlerhq
yesterday, actress saoirse ronan welcomed son oisรญn sinclair ronan into the world.
Saoirse,
Happy Birthday, my friend! I still can't believe we're going to work together and it's like we almost manifested that ourselves, just to rub it in the faces of the folks who didn't introduce us sooner. I'm almost glad you came into my life since even not knowing you well, I already know you're an amazing person, not to mention a talented one, and I'm excited for the days we'll be on set together. Consider this my IOU for celebratory dinner and drinks at a later date. I hope you have the best birthday, and all your wishes come true!
A x
thank you so much, austin! and i can't believe we're working together either, but i feel like we did manifest it, and we are rubbing it in the faces of those that didn't introduce us sooner, right? i'm glad we've gotten to know each other, because knowing you has been such a blessing and i can't wait to get to know you better, and i can't wait to get to work with you. i've seen your talent on the screen, and now i can't wait to witness it firsthand! and i'll hold you to the dinner and drinks at a later date, and thank you again, love. and i've really had a great birthday so far, and you've just added to it with the cake and the flowers! because i'm not sure how you knew, but oreos and anything cookies and cream related is my favorite!
Saoirse,
Happiest of birthdays to you! I hope you're having the best day, and getting plenty spoiled since you deserve that. Here I was going to send something with liquor, but since you're expecting, I decided to tailor my gifts more towards a mum-to-be. That means an everything cake to indulge in, and truffle bath bombs, which I'd never heard of before, but you can let me know if they end up being a fun thing or not. And of course something for the baby, some blankets since trust me, you can't have enough of those with little ones. I'm happy we've become friends, of course, and wish you (and baby!) the best year ahead!
Andrew x
thank you so much, andrew! and i promise you that i am having the best day, and i'm also getting plenty spoiled too! you're sweet to gear the gift more towards the mum-to-be, but i'd have taken the liquor for when i can drink again, just saying. i'm just teasing! okay, but that cake looks amazing, and just know that i'm going to enjoy eating every last bit of it. and i've never heard of truffle bath bombs either, but i love bath bombs, so i have a feeling they're going to be a whole lot of fun! and those blankets are so cute, thank you, and i had a feeling blankets were something i was always going to need a lot of! i'm happy we've become friends as well, love, and thank you for the birthday wishes and for the wish of a great year ahead. i have a feeling it's going to be for me and the baby!
Saoirse,
Happy Birthday, darling!! I'm so happy that we're friends and that I get to help you celebrate your big day. You're a wonderful friend who brings so much light, love, and positivity into the lives of everyone around you, and I know that for just the time we've been friends, even if it hasn't been very long. Plus you're going to be a mum to top it off - talk about Superwoman capabilities! I know that little one is going to feel so incredibly lucky to have you as a mum, not to mention as an example of who to emulate in life. I hope for your birthday, you have all the joy and relaxation and happiness that your heart can handle, not to mention having the best year, even though I have a feeling it will be given your new little one! And I included some gifts as a reminder, the chocolates to spoil yourself, and this little baby kit just in case you need the reminder. I love you, darling, and hoping you have an incredible day!
Love, Jamie
thank you so much, love. and i'll just say right now that i'm so glad we're friends too, and it means the world to me that you're celebrating my day with me! even if we've not been friends very long, you've been there for me for one of the biggest moments of my life and i can't thank you enough for that, and that's why you're always going to be someone who is so important in my life. it's still wild i'm going to be a mum, but i'm looking forward to it! and you're sweet to say that my little one is lucky to have me as a mum, making me feel emotional, jamie!! i'm having a pretty amazing birthday, though, and you're just adding to it! and i really do feel like my year is going to be amazing, especially with the little one coming! thank you so much for the gifts. i hope you know i'm going to eat all those chocolates right away because they're already calling to me! and that baby kit is so cute, thank you so much. i love you too, you sweet man, and thank you for making my day so much more amazing.
Dear Saoirse,
Happy Birthday, love! I'm so happy to we celebrate you today, and I couldn't be more grateful for the incredible friend I've gained though us both working in this crazy industry. It's amazing to think of how young we were when we met, and now I'm a parent and you're going to be, which is wild to think about! I'm also happy to be here for the amazing journey youโre on as a mum-to-be. Knowing the kid of person you are, the incredible, sweet, and passionate heart you have, I just know your baby will be so well cared for and proud to have a parent like you. And if you've times when you're doubting yourself, just remember that and know that everything will be just fine. Of course, I'll always be there to help you though anything you need. I really can't wait to meet your new little one and see just what an amazing mum you'll be. I hope this day is filled with love, laughter, and all the joy you deserve. And I hope these gifts add a little to that and make you smile!
Wishing you endless happiness and all the best in the next year, not to mention every single one of your wishes coming true!
Love, George x
george, not you making me emotional right from the start! but thank you, and i can say that i am so blessed to have you in my life and have the friendship that i do with you. we were so young when we met, and the fact that we managed to maintain our friendship for as long as we have in this industry is something truly special, and i'm forever grateful for that and for you. it's wild to think that we're going to both be parents now, though, right? i'm glad to have you for this journey, honestly, because i'm going in clueless, and i'm thankful i have such an amazing friend like yourself who is an amazing parent as well. but thank you for having such faith in me! and i'll just say right now that i can't wait to meet my little one as well, and he'll be here soon! which is the best gift, but these gifts that you've given me are pretty great too! i'm probably going to eat all those cupcakes in one sitting, and i love those matching shirts so much, they're so cute! plus, you know i'm going to be drinking my tea out of that mug every morning now for loving it so much! and the basket full of self-care stuff is so sweet. thank you so much, george, and thank you again for just being the best friend a girl could ask for. and i've had such an amazing day today already, but you've added to it a whole lot! plus, i have a strong feeling my year is going to be pretty epic, and i have a feeling all my dreams and wishes are going to come true as well. it just feels like my year! thank you again, love.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAOIRSE RONAN ๐๐๐
That stubborn quality could be bad or good given the day, though, and it means my oldest won't give up on pestering us for a puppy. Don't know what you mean though, and I make sure my kids never get what they want. Typically I don't mind people doing dangerous stunts for me, but it feels like I never get to do any of the fun ones, either. They could give me that since I'm getting older and will inevitably feel old after doing them anyway. Thanks for keeping my secrets, and it's the main reason I can look past you saying I'm a soft touch for my kids. The beach isn't such a bad place for a cart wheel, and certainly beats trying to do one on the floor. The grass is a little better than that, too. I'm glad you got to do some climbing and hiking in Utah, two of my favorite things to do also. That's definitely at the top of the you know you're old list, when you injure yourself lying down or sleeping. But we're not ancient at all, we can still be young at our ages and just not tell anyone about our aches and pains. Those are good friends to keep around, ones that encourage 30 shots but then make sure you're taken care of afterwards. I just imagine that's the only way you wouldn't care about how cold the water is, being thirty shots deep. Well, you should hear it a lot given your projects and that you've been great in them. But I get you, as someone who's sort of disbelieving of any compliments unless they're from people closest to me. I definitely win at all the video games, and don't let any of my siblings tell you otherwise. Does that mean you like playing some of them yourself? Because I'm always looking for people to help me keep my champion streak. I can sometimes understand the loneliness of growing up without siblings, but most times, I think it would have been peaceful. My older brothers probably think that more than I do since they were the ones I always followed around. Exactly, they never let me live down any compliments for them, though to be fair, I wouldn't let them live those down, either. | @saoirseur
you're right about that when it comes to being stubborn -- though is your oldest still pestering you about the puppy? or have you given in and gotten her a puppy yet? because i feel like if you haven't, your youngest is possibly going to start joining in and they're going to tag team you with the pestering! oh yeah, you truly give me the vibe of a guy that never gives his kids what they want, and i believe that about as far as i can throw you! you should let them know that you want to do the fun stunts and they're making you feel bad. see how far that gets you, okay? just be like, i'm not getting any younger, people, and pretty soon i won't be able to do any stunts! you're welcome. i'm always one to keep people's secrets, after all -- and of course, can't let anyone know you're a big softy for those kids of yours! at least if you fall over while doing a cartwheel on the beach, the sand isn't a bad cushion, right? same with the grass! you like to climb and hike as well? i love it! it's one of the most relaxing things to do, and i'm sad i didn't get to do it while in norway much because i wasn't feeling my best. and right? like who hurts themselves while laying down? outside of us old people! i like the way you think, though. we'll just make ourselves feel young by never telling our ages and lying to ourselves, right? i know, i've got some pretty great friends, and my 31st is soon, but i'm pretty pregnant right now and will be so on my birthday as well, so won't be doing 31 shots to celebrate, but that's probably a good thing for my liver, right? but you're not wrong, when you're thirty shots deep, it's pretty easy to forget about the cold. and thank you so much, it means a lot since you're someone i respect, especially since i enjoy a lot of your work as well, and can't help but want to work with you at some point! but i'm glad you understand, because unless we're close, compliments make me feel awkward, and then i probably make everyone feel awkward after them. so if i ask any of your siblings, they'll lie and say you don't win all the video games? i love playing video games! right now since i'm as big as a house and can't do much, i'm addicted to playing call of duty -- though people are mean while you're gaming once they find out your a girl, and i've found that killing those people that are mean is really fun! so if you ever need a partner, just know i'm ruthless! i imagine with as many siblings as you have, you probably would have loved the peace of being an only child, especially when your siblings were annoying you, right? which older brother did you follow around the most though? because i'm going to want to ask that one how annoying you were growing up obviously! i had a feeling you'd never let them live down any compliments they'd give you either. that makes me laugh, though, i love it. and i forgot to say when i saw you in norway that i loved nosferatu, by the way, it was so good! are you working on anything new right now? || @skarsgardhqs
I'm so glad you've jumped off a cliff, and I knew you could do it! was it crazy enough that you'd be willing to do it all over again? You never know, and maybe one day you'll get the urge to lift like a bodybuilder and put us all to shame. We're certainly thinking the same with the ice baths being a much better afternoon activity if you've to add them into your day at all. And look at you, already having done the polar plunge another time! How was it in Norway? Did you make it into a competition and win all over again? Yeah, my skin isn't as sensitive as it used to be, but it still random breaks out if I'm not taking care of it. Homemade bread is just that delicious, though don't let our trainers hear us talking this way about eating a loaf of bread a day! I appreciate so much that you still love my banana bread recipe. Plus look at you being a pro with the sour dough bread, and I honestly love that for you! I only hope my kids end up liking my homemade bread enough to request it on a regular basis. It makes me smile that you loved us working together, and you know I'd work with you again in a heartbeat! What's the best place for jumping into cold water? Does Norway have a place in that now? Because with the trip there coming up, that may be something to consider! You're sweet saying I'm the best dad, though I just try my best if anything, and of course always want my kids to be happy. I know Lil would love hearing you say that about our family as well, since our kids are the most important thing in both our lives. Maybe sibling rivalry won't be bad, I'm just hoping it's only a little like between me and my sister rather than anything serious. I don't know if the twins have sibling rivalry since they're still in the stages of doing everything together, which is cute! And I'd like to think Evie saying one of the pets' names means family is already important to her! You've never thought about having kids? Though I'm happy to send pictures of all mine for you to enjoy on a regular basis! Staying in both Ireland and Scotland is quite the holiday, and I love that for you! Bad Apples? I'll certainly have to keep that on my radar since I love comedies. I did indeed love The Outrun, you were incredible in it! And I appreciate that you've seen The End as well, love. You'll certainly have to drop by again since we should be in London for a little while with my filming! And it was wonderful seeing you at Telluride too! The kids honestly grow so quickly, despite Lil's and my protests over it. Hawaii was incredible of course, such a gorgeous place so it couldn't be anything but. Plus you know I love anywhere that has beautiful hiking trails. I can certainly see why The Outrun got such a good reception when it's an incredible film! I hope you've gotten to take it a little easy because of the holidays, though are you working on something else now, or still taking time off? | @saoirseur
well, i'm still on the fence on if i liked jumping off a cliff or not -- so i'm not sure if i'll do it again, but maybe sometime down the road i will? i'm cracking up at the idea of me lifting like a bodybuilder, i'd probably fall right over if i tried to lift anything! doing the polar plunge in norway was pretty intense, i'll not lie, and we did make it another competition! and i did win, the rest of the lads didn't even last a minute in the water! well, i've seen some recent photos of you, my friend, and you look handsome as ever, and your skin looks great! i was thinking the same thing about not letting out trainers hear us about eating bread so much -- but right now i'm allowed to eat what i want, well for the most part, and i'm enjoying it while i can! i was craving banana bread something fierce the other day, and i was thankful that you gave me that recipe, even though i don't think i did it as well as you! hey, you should give making sourdough a try. even though it's scary at first, you feel so rewarded once you're done! please, i have a feeling your kids are always going to ask for you to make their favorite treats like that, bread included, because that's a treat to me! it makes me smile that you'd work with me again in a heartbeat too, we'll have to put it out there that we want to work together again! i feel like norway was a pretty good place to jump into cold water, and were you tempted when we were there? i hope so, and i hope you dove in! every time i'm near you and the kids, i can see how happy they are and how much they love you and lily-rose, it always makes me smile that you're such an amazing family, you know? and i can only hope i'm half the mam that lily-rose is, because it's clear she's pretty amazing. i think sometimes a small amount of sibling rivalry is good, right? and it can be funny for the parents as long as it's not serious, because i know your mam had to get a kick out of you and daisy! and i love that the twins still do everything together, that is the cutest, and i need to see them again sometime soon! and beau as well! well, it's funny, the last time we talked, i hadn't really thought much about kids -- but then after i said that to you, i've been thinking a lot about them. however, i'll admit that becoming pregnant was the last thing on my mind, so you can understand when i found out i was pregnant i was a little taken aback. which, surprise, i'm pregnant! my son is going to be born toward the end of april, and honestly, i'm scared but also happy. and please, just because i'm having my own little one, don't stop sending me photos of yours! i love seeing your kids after all. hopefully you'll like bad apples when it comes out, it was such a fun project to work on. plus, you're sweet to say that you liked the outrun and thought id id good. oh, the end was so good! but you know i've always had a soft spot for your singing. well, i'm currently almost to the point where i can't travel, but when my little one arrives, i'll be coming to visit london so you can meet him! and you know i'm always happy when i get to run into you at film festivals, especially when i can see what you're working on! so that's what i'm going to have to look forward to? my son growing far too quickly? see, you're talking up hawaii so much you're making me want to go now, especially for the hiking trails! i did take it easy after the holidays and have been taking it easy a lot because of the baby. but i'll be working on something soon, a script i couldn't turn down, and i'll be working with austin, so i'm excited! also, it was good seeing you guys in norway -- though i wasn't feeling the best, so i know i wasn't the greatest company! but you and lily-rose looked fantastic at the dance! || @mackayhq

Definitely, I love learning new things thanks to projects. Just more skills to add to the talent pool, right? I was going to say, Pink Pony Club isn't a bad one to have stuck in your head, although I know any song can get annoying if you can't move on from it. There are just worse ones to have! Did you end up listening to the songs though, and more importantly liking them? I knew the cooking part would at least be an advantage that makes up for not being handy around the house, so my twin definitely has that going for him! I know what you mean when cooking's just one of those things I'd love someone else to do for me, same with laundry and cleaning. Thank you for thinking we'd all be fun to have around despite not being very handy! I don't suppose it counts that I can hang up a picture straight. I see what you mean, like one of those jobs that would be a little overwhelming if you started it yourself! Though as long as it's able to be repaired, right? Especially a home like that - they may take a lot of upkeep, but they're so beautiful all the same! And it's been restored before? You'd think it wouldn't need any big projects after that, though at least you're living in it now to give it proper love and care. Plus houses with character are the best. I can't say I've had to do many accents, but I bet it'd be fun doing that for a project when I always get a bit obsessed with the way people speak and wanting to put that into roles. I can try my best Irish accent, though I'd be a little embarrassed if I ended up doing a bad one for you! | @saoirseur
that's exactly the truth -- and the more skills you have to add to the talent pool, the better, aye? honestly, i love pink pony club so much that i don't mind it being in my head all that much, i feel like there are worse songs that could be stuck in my head. but you're right, any song can get annoying if you can't move on from it for a while, it's just natural. i did end up listening to the song, though, and i loved them! i can see why you were into them so much, honestly. i'm someone that loves to eat, so anyone that is willing to cook for me, i'm a happy gal. and i love that your twin is the cook of the bunch -- though do you cook at all? believe me, there are some days where i wish i had someone doing all my cooking, laundry, and cleaning, especially lately! from talking to you and just from how you talk about your brothers, you guys sound like such a fun bunch! wait, that does count for a lot because i swear i can't hang a picture for the life of me! exactly, and right now i'm not exactly in any condition to take a project like that either, since i'm currently expecting. but i have called some repair people, and it'll be all done before my little one gets here, and that's exactly why i have the house that i do, even with all the upkeep, it's so very beautiful, and i love having something that's a part of history. i don't like to talk ill about people, but i feel the workers that restored this before did shoddy work, aye? but thankfully the people i've hired are very well known and highly recommended. they're also doing a nursery for me, which i'm really excited about. and that's exactly the truth -- i love houses with character! after watching monsters, the voice you did for that to sound like erik was perfect, especially after i watched footage of the real erik speaking! so if you did that, i had faith you'd do well with an irish accent. and i loved the one you gave me while we were in norway! you were adorable too, let's just say that! || @kochhq
