To all Trump supporters, don't erase our grievances because you are privileged enough to look past the indecency, ignorance, and hatred - because none of it ever will affect you. Don't tell us we're overdramatic when half of the country voted against our very existences and now supports the deprivation of essential medical care for these existences. Do not tell us how to feel. This fear humming inside within all of us is on you. You the people. Trump himself does not invoke as deep and great of a fear in me as all of you do. He is #notmypresident and this is not my America. This is an AmeriKKKa that's always existed. But, he didn't win the popular vote, which shows that the fight never was lost, though it is far from being won. As Americans, we are the proudest and strongest people I know. We are always there for our allies, ready to fight the good fight. We will prevail as we always have. We still have each other - we're all we've got. And we've got it. Do not let hatred divide us. We will fight on. We will endure. The tears may stop but we will not. In light of incessant tragedies occurring post-election, we all must process, mourn, activate. Now more than ever do we need to get involved. Inaction is far more harmful than action, and through action we will be able to make an impact. Volunteer and donate to oppressed causes and marginalized groups (i.e. Planned Parenthood, Black Lives Matter, etc.). Practice self-care. Care for one another. In this current climate, being cast aside as 'Other' and simply loving oneself already is a radical act of defiance. Protect yourself. Defend the defenseless and be the voice to uplift and help revive those of whose voices have been deprived. [Do not erase and speak for/on behalf of them, of course.] Above all, fight back. Be vocal. We built this country up. Farmed the fields. Built the bridges. Constructed the railroads. Made the damned White House. The bones of our forebears keep our feet warm. Do not let them freeze and harden our hearts. It's time to reclaim our country, our America. This our time. We are stronger together.
