why you should watch young royals on Netflix
lgbt, healthy friendships, anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD, aspergers sindrome, anti monarchy feelings
the protagonist is a prince who is sent to a boarding school and starts figuring out his ideas, his sexuality and deals with anxiety
the most beautiful girl in the school is a middle sized black woman, she understand she needs no prince to be the queen she always been. she is friend with
Sara, a girl with asperger sindrome and i’ve never seen a show in which it was not stereotyped, Sara is not pitied or complained and not identified/defined by that!
3. healthy friendship rep
you never see girls against each other! although felice and her friends are supposed to be the most popular they are actually nice and not a bunch of mean girls. i could say more but i don’t want to spoil one of my fav moment… watch it i promise their friendship is cool
it’s the lead couple instead of a sided one???? they have a beautiful chemistry on screen
they look like real teenagers!! and i’m not talking only about the fact they are not 30 y/o with clear skin but also to the behaviours they have in the show. nowdays you see all those shows with teens being comfortable with everything, playing cool while here you see them struggling and being real
6. cinematography is worth a mention
7. support good foreign shows!!
i think language barrier shouldn’t be a thing at all, there is so many beautiful show in the world and not only us is capable of producing them so please give it a chance
8. get is renew so we can have season 2 !!
9. it has only 6 episodes of 40 minutes circa so it’s easy to bingewatch
10. written and directed by women
I’m 100% sure i forgot something cause this show is unbelivable and there is so much to talk about so i’ll update this if something else comes in my mind ALSO feel free to add something if u want
