day 27 of sappho!

happy new year!

a little recap of the past week:

- shampoodle!! got new hair instead of that weird default stuff lol

- upgraded to super t&t!

- the cafe is open!

- i was about to construct a new bridge, but then i changed my mind, so i lost 50,000 bells that i had already donated :P

- instead of, you know, celebrating the new year countdown normally, i did it in animal crossing. luckily the countdown my family was watching on tv was delayed so i was still able to do the 3 2 1 HAPPY NEW YEAR and all that jazz.

- speaking of changing my mind, i changed my mind about letting tammy move.... but now marcel's moving! so let me know if you want him! he's moving next week :)

day 21 of sappho!

oops! i keep forgetting to update y'all on my town. so considering it's been like, over a week, here's an update :)

- i got my dream address! 5B00-01E2-A6DF

- i got the second floor museum upgrade!

- i got a new villager, ricky! i hate him.

- toy day happened but i didn't give my villagers the right presents oops...

- i opened club LOL!

- shampoodle is under construction!

- tammy is moving out on the 30th! i don't really know how villager trading works in the acnl community, but feel free to message me if you want her and we can figure something out! i'm kinda conflicted on this tbh - she's not really my fave fave, but i like her. but i'm deciding to let her move so i can open more slots for new villagers :) someone please give her a loving home!!

that's all for now! once again, message me if you want tammy :)!!!!! she's cool. she'll probably be free, but if multiple people are interested, it'll be a trade!

It is called Baystar and it’s a cute little pastel town filled with adorable villagers. I LOVE the path I designed for this.

day 11 of sappho!

wowowow lots of stuff has happened today.

first of all, i unlocked the sewing machine! i'm using these and these for now, and i'll also use these once i start up my second save file :)

now for the cooler developments:

nookling junction will start construction tomorrow! kicks is currently under construction! and im almost done paying off the dream suite!

once the dream suite opens, please keep in mind that my town is very much so still a wip, so its probably gonna be really messy..but im excited to finally be able to share it with you since i still havent been able to get screenshots!

not much stuff other than that. i got two silver slingshots, i grinded for bells by fishing at the island, and im still waiting for the palm trees to grow so i can get beetles

day 7 of sappho!

oops i forgot to post these last few days! and ive already lost count of what day it is! i think its day 7? happy 1 week anniversary

umm so. what has happened.

i figured out how to replant tortimer's island palm trees, so i should be able to catch beetles soon

i began laying out my flowers, so i'll soon have pretty flower walkways!

garden store is open!!!!

which means i got an axe, and was able to cut down some poorly placed trees!

i grinded for a bunch of flowers today @ tortimer island :]

im getting the qr code machine soon!

i joined club tortimer but im probably never gonna use it because i hate multiplayer with ppl i dont know

got a bunch of house exterior upgrades

new villagers! marcel and tammy!

i opened the campsite!

ive been trying to get new pwp suggestions, but none yet :,) i'll try again tomorrow

god whenever i say pwp i think im talking about smut.

oo also, i ordered some cute stickers from amazon to decorate my 3ds with. i cant believe ive never done that ??

ok, now for some future plans:

i really need to get some new bridges because i absolutely hate where mine is placed currently. but i dont want to build a new one yet bc i want it to be a pretty one, since if it isnt, im just gonna end up wasting money by destroying it later, if that makes sense....im stingy with money both irl AND in-game!!

i was planning on making the area outside the train stop full of pink flowers, but ive instead filled it with pansies. i might go back to pink, but idk.....

also: how long does it take for fruit to regrow??? also trees take forever ???? ik im just being impatient but damn.

oo also villagers. now that i have the campsite, im excited! honestly, the only villagers of mine that im attached to rn are opal and rosie. so if anyone wants to be notified in case my other villagers move out, lmk!

and now for a nostalgia rant. in one of my previous towns, i think 2018? i had some amazing villagers that i really miss — pancetti and merengue. i love them so much! if anyone has them, please let me know because i love them!!! i miss them!! come back home, im so sorry for leaving you!!!!!!!!!

day 4 of sappho!

some fun an not-so-fun.

fun: woohoo! stuff happened! i set up my first pwp (public works project. not smut.), the campsite! i also unlocked the island! but then i had to rush back home before 10am because rosie wanted to come visit at that time. and then she stayed for no longer than 1 and a half minutes before leaving.

speaking of the island...

not so fun: i accidentally cut down all of the palm trees instead of saving a few of them. and then i went on a tour, so it auto-saved. then i reset my game to try and go back to the save where i still had the trees, not realizing it had auto-saved. i'm very upset with myself. does anyone know if you can replant palm trees? none of the tours had any bananas i could steal to replant. do beetles spawn on palm tree stumps????? god i really hope so. im very mad and annoyed and ughhhhhh. whyyyy.

im just gonna take a break until i stop being mad at myself. dammit! i really wanted to grind for some bells!!!! aah!!!

day three of sappho!

wow! stuff happened!

first of all: tortimer's here! tomorrow i'll be unlocking the island :]

second of all: new villager! it's ken! not sure if i like him yet...

and third of all: 100% approval rating! i'll be getting a permit soon!

and....thats basically it. not much else to report on. did chores, got ideas for the island, and even played some happy home designer. one thing ive noticed is every time i see rosie, she's on the beach watering my flower breeding area. like i never see her anywhere else

right now im upset because i still cant believe we're not allowed multiple islands on one switch in acnh. jesus christ. if youre following me on my other social media or my main blog, youve seen my downward spiral today ❤️ if someone wants to oh-so-generously donate me a nintendo switch with animal crossing hmu /hj

day two of sappho!

not much happened today. it was mostly doing chores n stuff to get my approval rating up — currently at 73%! i also paid off my house loan, bought a roof exterior, and talked some more with my villagers. hamlet was really adamant about pinging me today.

all of the villager's dialogue was either about toy day or the upcoming fishing tourney. at least i know what to get my faves for toy day now! (note to self: green umbrella for rosie, red food for opal, and something beige for sally?)

the villager that's moving in tomorrow is ken! but im not sure if i like him or not yet. we'll wait and see!

my 3ds photo storage is full. oops. i still need to figure out if we have an sd card reader so i can transfer my images to my computer... (side note: when i was 8 or 9, my friend and i loved playing on our 3ds. so when our school was having a talent show, we wanted to make a little "magic trick" using the camera on it! we recorded ourselves zipping up a hoodie with one shirt, then zipping it down with another shirt, but we never got the splicing to look seamless. oh well. it was really fun :) we also really loved this game called ninjatown and played it together using download play — wasnt that feature so cool???? damn, now i wanna play that again. i'll try to use the eshop before it shuts down, or maybe i can find a used version on ebay or gamestop......OH i also remember renting 3ds games from gamestop all the time!!!!! that was so fun. ok enough nostalgic rambling. sorry.)

starting a new AC:NL town! DAY ONE!

hi everyone! today marks a new beginning: a new AC:NL town! i've had this game since 2013, and i've made dozens of towns since then. i really want to make a new AC:NH island as well, but i can't bear to delete my current one, and i don't exactly want to buy a whole new switch just to play animal crossing (nintendo, please, i'm begging you, let us make multiple islands!! or else i will cry).

i'll be honest: i have no idea what i'm doing. i haven't played since 2020. i always give up on new towns and don't even end up getting my first house before i reset! i have commitment issues, ok?? but i'm gonna try this time. can't promise that it's gonna be pretty at all, but...

side note: i'm not gonna be hacking anything. mostly because i don't know how and don't want to accidentally kill my 3ds. i wish i knew how, but :P oh well. i also won't be doing time travel because i don't really want to lol.

ANOTHER note, my 3ds is old and kinda crappy, so there won't be any photos....for now. just my thoughts n stuff. that's it!!!

first thing's first, creating the town. this will be mayor lavender, in the town of sappho!

my native fruit are pears, and my current villagers are wart jr, sally, hamlet, opal, and rosie! i was excited to get rosie because, i mean, of course. i also loved meeting opal, she's really cool! and hamster villagers always give me such nostalgia, because in my first ever new leaf town, i had two of them. but still, i'm not sure if i like hamlet yet. same goes with wart jr and sally. we'll wait and see!

after setting up my tent, i started on the basics. getting a feel for the new town, getting money. i started plotting out my pathways and blocking off areas i dont want villagers to move on. does that trick still work, using paths to block areas? i'm a little rusty on this game, lmao. i hope so. after that, i put in my down payment for my house, and got started on isabelle's tasks. i started my flower farm down on the beach - it's just red and white roses for now, since i forgot about all the color combos...i'll google that later. and finally, i talked with all my villagers, paying more attention to rosie and opal because i love them.

there's not much to do on day one of a new town, but i hope there's some new stuff tomorrow! i also hope my sibling will move in after they make their own town. maybe i can even convince them to write a post....
