I go by omodei online, but you can also call me sa’qati or luxiana! either one works, I don’t mind what you choose. I was born in massachusetts, and raised in the southern sand hills of mánu: yį įsuwą. I come from a very blended family, with ties to mi'kma'ki and the pijinuiskaq / mawtukwiaq areas. (kekina’masi mi'kmawi'simk. niʼn na sqapantiej lol)

I am an animist, formerly raised catholic; my personal spiritual practice centers msit noʼkmaq- indigenous knowledge, plant medicine, ancestral veneration, and ceremony. I occasionally talk about my spiritual ventures, and don’t mind answering questions if they’re polite.

In my free time, I love bird watching too! it’s my biggest hobby outside of everything else. I make it my goal to sit outside at the lake nearly every day, rain or shine, to spot something beautiful + record what I find. you’ll see me yap about birds frequently lol.

• note!! • I am also political, even though I may not talk about it often; my biggest belief is that decolonization is key to our future. land back should’ve happened yesterday- modern borders aren’t real- blood quantum is government horseshit- our children are sacred- ‘left vs right’ are two wings of the same ugly bird- and all of my earthly relatives deserve to exist safely and securely alongside me.

i’ve fallen in love with cabochon cut stone. i just finished this pair since working on them yesterday evening; it’s been a thrill to try something new ✨ i don’t do flat embroidery style pieces often.

made with bumblebee jasper stone, 11/0 seeds, and 14k hardware. this pair will be available on my site soon, with a few other cab style earrings i have in the makes!

there’s so much color on my board this week ✨🤍 been busy making as much as i can in between all the work, family, and other errands that’ve been pushed to the forefront of my life lately.

my first go at something completely different from my norm; big beautiful teal-blue peyote flowers.

these took so many mistakes and re-dos in order to finish over the past two days, but now i could probably make more of them with my eyes closed.

these took a whole tube of 11/0 beads, and a shit ton of patience lol. hoping to make at least two more pairs in new colors before i drop em on the site!

me and my dad have been prototyping the coziest wooden beading board, this was our very first rough attempt! designed and carved by hand, with a personal omodei (name) touch. despite needing a lil more sanding, it works perfectly as intended. next we’re deciding on what kind of wood to make them from + if we wanna stain them.

fell in love with this shade of blue when I was bead hunting, so I conjured up some beautiful fringed earrings the other night thanks to their inspiration. i’m planning on another beadwork drop this weekend, it’s looking likely sunday evening (may 31st) that everything will go live for purchase ✨🪶 more updates and sneak peeks are to come.

today’s adventure involved strawberry harvesting + flower shopping for my mom. it was beautiful outside despite the rain; i even got to meet the shop cat (didn’t get his name tho) and take in some fresh air at the greenhouse.
