Knowing that Nature never did betray
The heart that loved her
William Wordsworth, Tintern Abbey
If I should be where I no more can hear thy voice, nor catch from thy wild eyes these gleams of past existence—wilt thou then forget that on the banks of this delightful stream we stood together?
William Wordsworth, Tintern Abbey
My dear, dear friend,
And in thy voice I catch the language of my former heart,
And read my former pleasures in the shooting lights of thy wild eyes.
Oh! yet a little while, may I behold in thee what I was once.
William Wordsworth, Tintern Abbey.
When Oscar Wilde said, "Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell the truth." I felt that!
I love it though! 💕
I still can't believe that Emily Dickinson was out there almost 200 years ago writing things like -
"Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality."
In the tranquility of her room, for nobody to find these writings until after her death!!!
POV: She's a ten but she's more in love with Books than she is with you.♡
She's a ten but she's in love with books & fictional characters! ♡
Hot girls sit at home, their faces buried in books, raising their standards over Fiction Men written by Women, who are too good to be true ;)
It's just me and my love for dark haired fictional male characters with a fluffy heart against the rest of the world *♡
There's something about them saying "I'm yours" instead of saying "You're mine" that makes my heart melt into a puddle.
~ What a perfect day looks like ♡
I recently just finished watching Wednesday and it was really really good, I was so impressed by the filming, the acting, the sets, the scripts and so much more. But I really feel like I need to address this Problematic Issue I've been noticing among the fans.
The Wednesday fans going 'Tyler is a good person' and 'Team Tyler Forever' really need to be called out on their bullshit.
I realise that people are really sympathising with Tyler. They are saying we just saw the monster and not the scared kid who might be fighting the hide and has given up but please, he clearly admitted that he started enjoying it. Like come on people. I know the actor has done a great job and there was a fair amount of misdirection but I can't believe people are defending him now. I understand he was obeying orders but he knew what he was doing and later admitted to enjoying it.
People don't get excused for doing bad things and enjoying it only because they had a tough childhood and they are hot!!!!
My toxic trait is continuously adding more books to my personal library and actually believing that I'll ever be able to complete my physical TBR after that!
I discovered myself between the pages of an old library book, in the paintings of a tortured artist and in the fallen leaves of the changing seasons, holding my hands out to life ♡
New Year Resolutions I hear? Easy. Read, Write, Study, Work Hard, Enjoy Yourself and Repeat!
It's Christmas Eve and I'm just manifesting that in 10 years I'll be sitting under an actual Christmas tree having a real Christmas ⛄
