Probably obvious, but I just realised that in the Thinky Difficulties screen in ep 4, Rover and Chlorine are looking down on the gang. 🥹 Not sure if it's with encouragement or disappointment though...

More RFTH ramblings:
The Force of Extinction one-shot was really fun, thought Jasper was a great fit for their style, and it was nice to see Midge get to be a player for a change. Maybe i'm the only one, but I fucking love Debbie. My grudge-holding, note-taking librarian queen.
I need to start Wild Magic Warriors soon, just weighing up how much hyperfixation / heartbreak it's going to involve 😬
"There is no such thing as a humble man" is such a fucking linnnneeee to have come out of a improv show called Rock Paper Scissors? Lmao
Y'all I just watched live and let limbo and... why did no one tell me that it's a masterpiece? Seriously this is one of my favorite lfs now
Ok, I finally watched Live and Let Limbo and who was gonna tell me that it's a literal cinematic masterpiece?? THAT LAST SCENE IN THE CAR WITH AJ AND SAM??? Every so often sfth just releases a literal shakespeare play (looking at you, lollipop lady's revenge) and we just have to. deal with that.
Also can we TALK about how brilliant AJ's acting in particular was in this play?
the way ellie morris fits so well into the wild magic warriors... she needs to be a permanent cast member
Theres already been asks sent abt the audience in Rock Paper Scissors? so i dont want to add to it even more lol
I honestly thought previous videos were worse, this one was pretty tame, BUT:
In both this and The Silly Elephant Tom had to make a point to break the fourth wall and say he's the bad guy, he's going to do and say bad things. And in this play of course they're gonna have the bad guy bring up victorian stereotypes.
Its not the end of the world, boo if you wish but cool it with the heckling
dear everyone who makes the 4bb look like sfth: i love you so much
someone who’s going to the hammersmith apollo show should suggest “shoot from the hip” as the long form title for a full circle moment
i love the parallel between one of Franklin's first poems being "there was a gentleman of great class / who has a wonderful ass" to the collab one being "he met a nice chap / gave his ass a slap" and i think its wonderful
I love being open minded about the long forms and and all the new developments and how stuff has changed! I feel as the fandom grows, more 'fussy' people join, but it's good to remember that they are grown men and can make their own decisions. They want to try something new? Bet! Have at it man!
Days since Luke short joke: 0
incredible tiny all-plotpoints-coming-together moment when luke's character limbos with aj's character (forgive me i cant be bothered with their names rn) and sam's character goes "you're pair-limboing with someone else??" and luke's character goes "i'm sorry- [to aj] you just look so much like your father"
because!!!! she and his father were lovers!!!! it all makes SENSE!!!!!!!
so the luke manning timeline is:
-Improv comedian
-Astrid's mom sees him on the tube (i assume?)
-He retires from SFTH
-He joins BBC radio station 4
-He has a child at some point, probably with the woman from LaLL (i dont know her name:( )
-He dies to a razor limbo stick
-He is buried under the foundations of the hotel
TOM JUST RECOMMENDED OPERATION MINCEMEAT!!!?!?!!??!!!! HOLY SHIT IM SO HAPPYYYYYYY
As someone who was at the Sheffield show (Rock Paper Scissors?) I want to point out to everyone that the acoustics in there were really bad which I think made the audiences vocals sound a lot worse on camera
When the guys first came out Sam literally said that the venue was the deepest venue they've ever been in. The venue was a converted warehouse and was really echoy and the guys couldn't hear the audience's suggestions properly during the first half (luke literally misheard the audience suggestion "wheres my monkey" as "are you wanking")
Don't get me wrong there was a lot of noise at certain points at the venue, but it wasn't as bad at the venue compared to watching it back
[I also want to apologise as I'm fairly certain I was one of the people Tom had to shush during that part of the longform. I'm autistic and it was my first show, so I was trying to mimic the atmosphere of the room but I think I went too overboard with it due to not recognising the social cues on when to stop. I was so embarrassed when he shushed my area and tried to calm myself down after that. I'm more used to pantos/theatre shows aimed at families where you are expected to be louder, but because of that experience I learnt what etiquette I should have when I saw them next time]
POSTMAN PAT AND HIS BLACK AND WHITE CAT??? 😭
