Quick Update

I’m still alive! My health took a pretty deep dive over the past few months and there have been quite a few life changes for me in general. Not to worry though, it looks like I’m finally getting the care that I need in order to function like a normal person. So, I know I’ve said this on this blog several times before, but I really want to get to work on this project and I hope to have at least some cool content out sooner rather than later.

I still may not be able to focus long enough to make comic pages, but that doesn’t stop me from making Pinterest boards for every single character and setting in all of Frontierstuck. Not that I’m saying that’s what I did all day today...

Health Update

So, guess who had major thyroid surgery just last week and is suddenly feeling more motivated than she has in months?

That's right kiddos; My nasty thyroid is now in some bio-waste disposal unit in a pathology lab and NOT in my neck making me sick. While it should take a few months for all of my hormones to balance out and my energy to return to healthy levels, I'm already feeling so much better just knowing that it's done.  While my current euphoria may just be a sort of post-surgery mania, I'm hoping it's a sign that in the upcoming months I should be more consistently content and productive than I have been in a long, long time.

Hopefully, this means that before long you should start seeing updates from me again! I've been re-reading Frontierstuck chapters to try to get myself back in the zone, and I think I'm about ready to start getting back to work! I'll keep you guys updated on my progress and thank you so much for sticking with me!

A Quick Update

Things have been pretty slow here for a while, and I’m not going to lie, I haven’t been doing much work on the project lately. Over the past few weeks I have had two blood tests, four biopsies at once, three medication changes, and an ultrasound on my neck. So, to say the least, my health is not in the best shape. 

I was diagnosed last week with an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. It attacks my thyroid, and for me at least, causes severe fatigue. That, combined with my depression and anxiety, makes it almost impossible for me to function. I spend most of my time either sleeping, or wishing that I had the energy and motivation to do things other than sleep and wish. 

So, with that said, I am so ready to get chapter one rolling for real, I just need the energy. Thankfully, I've started treatment for my thyroid, and combined with a few changes in my anti-depressants, hopefully I will be productive soon. This project, even though just starting it has been so much work, and such a challenge for me, is still so exciting for me and I want so badly to see it through to the end.  

Just wait for me, I’ll get there eventually.

I just spent some time doodling around with some numbers and realized that if I work on this project at a slow, but reasonable clip, it will take like six years. I'm pretty sure I can cut that down quite a bit once I start gaining experience, but still.

I'm in this for the long haul guys.

Things have been pretty quiet on this blog lately. I've been pretty sick for the past few months and still am now. However, I'll be spending a lot of time at my parents house for a few weeks, so hopefully you'll be seeing more from me. Have some thumbnails from chapter 1 just to prove that I'm not dead.
