But in season 2… Mike has always been Will’s heart. So when Mike is saying his monologue to Will = he broke free and literally helped SAVING Hawkins. The gate closed. Hawkins is complete.

The heart is whole. ❤️

they used hold hands all the time when they were younger but stopped when people started being homophobic and rude (and it's part of why they started getting bullied, in s1 the homophobic comments were about Will but they said them to Mike because they knew their "friendship" was different than their friendship with Lucas and Dustin
