Coming back to Israel after a few weeks in Germany is always a weird mix of feelings. My boyfriend cannot stop talking about Germany, the many electric cars which can be charged at a local supermarket through solar panels on its roof, everyone recycling, no one skipping lines, no one shouting at you. When I arrive back to Israel I realize that I don‘t have this excited tourist tingling in my belly anymore that I used to have every time I went to the beach the first time. Maybe this is part of the process of truly arriving here. But it is also a bit sad. I wonder what Oz feels and whether he remembers anything from 4 weeks ago.
