Also, my first introduction to encaustic: My first day at SCAD I met a photographer at a local gallery who offered to help me fix my film camera (turns out I was loading it wrong, y'all!), flash forward 3 years later and I realized that person was Shoshannah White. This was also the day I became best friends and (unbeknownst to me) future roomies with @sarahvasta. So, encaustic is a big deal and you should love it too.
