Recently I had the incredible opportunity to freelance Assistant Edit at The Onion. I worked on a number of projects, this one was posted and went viral on Reddit.

I'm so proud of how it turned out! It was a great experience and I was not only able to assistant edit but flex my design muscles and also created the ripped pieces of paper with the quotes, the Variety cover and make a cameo myself.

Today we had the privilege of meeting Henry Jenkins who co-wrote,"Spreadable Media." It was an honour meeting him and I highly recommend picking up his book,"Spreadable Media" if you have any interest in social media or media of all different kinds.

Production meeting our film, "A Fairy's Tale".

I’ve been working on some design concepts for some of the FILM 2’s going on at school. The first image was a stock photo of a prosthetic prop hand missing a few fingers and the director asked if I could demonstrate my skills and if I could paint in the name of the film for him as a little promo and he really loved the outcome. 

I would credit the stock image but I’m not sure where it was found, I’ll give proper credit if I’m linked to the image or I can find it. I would do a reverse search but I don’t appear to have the original file.

The second image I created quickly as just a small concept. Creating and blending various different textures, brushes as well as creating my own skin texture for the house. If you look closely on the 300 dpi version you can clearly see it but I had to shrink it for Tumblr. He was happy with the outcome and hopefully we will move on to make it look much more professional then the rough.

We had the privilege of meeting with Ignition today. A massive post-production house in California that produces most of the major campaigns, trailers, posters and social media for the biggest films of today. They are the powerhouse and creative drive behind the press,social media, print, trailers of films such as Prometheus, The Hunger Games, Inception, Man Of Steel and so many more. I  highly encourage all inspiring filmmakers to check out their website and show reels! It is really such an inspiring and encouraging meeting, reassures me even further I am doing exactly what I am suppose to do!
