This is a casual event running through the month of July. We have created this bingo card for you to use, feel free to do as many or few of the prompts as you would like. Any and all types of creations are accepted, just be sure to tag our blog or use the tag #tt gorefest ! Have fun!

Welcome to Taboo Tableau's Sasi Smut Challenge!

This is a casual DIY event wherein you can choose one or more categories to take prompts from in any order you'd like. It can be a one week event or a multi-week event depending on how you would like to participate. The submission time is within one year of this post date, as we plan to make this a yearly event. Just be sure to tag our blog or use the tag #ttssc so we can reblog it!

Blog/Event Update

Hello, it is with a heavy heart that I must inform you our Trick-or-Treat event was somewhat of a failed experiment. We have learned a lot, but are still deciding whether or not to try again next year. That being said, we WILL be running more casual events throughout the year still such as the Sasi Smut Challenge and Gorefest. The prompts for those events have already been chosen for this year, but we will open up prompt submissions to the public for future events.

If you do wish for us to attempt the Trick or Treat event next year or wish to participate in it, please let us know via ask (anons are on), message, or signing up with our contributor form.

Trick Or Treat Prompt Asks Open!

Greetings dearest trick or treaters. To submit your trick or treat prompts, please include as much or as little info as you would like your writer or artist to have. Asks may be as tame or taboo as you'd like, but if one prompt is extreme, please consider having a tamer prompt as your second to hopefully ensure one of them gets filled.

How to submit your prompts:

You can send an ask (on anon if you'd like) and send two prompts labelled as your trick and treat. For example:

Trick: Roceit venom dubcon. Treat: Intrulogical first time.

Your prompts can just be plain old fluff or angst too, they don't need to be nsfw, you just have that option here.

Are there any limits to how taboo the requests can get? You've established that RemRom is allowed, but I'd like to know if there's anything that's completely off-limits -- incest is okay but how much trouble would I be in if I asked for, say, noncon, or an AU with illegal age gaps, or necro, or, or, or...

You can absolutely request anything you'd like, but I'd suggest your alternate prompt be tamer in case no one is comfortable writing it.

So is this a 'pushing the boundaries' sort of event blog? A 'how many taboos can we jam into one fic' sort of thing? Trying to get a feel for what's going on and I'm intrigued by the Trick or Treat but cautious about throwing my hat in somewhere I don't know it will land.

(And yes, I'm an adult. Thank you for looking out for the kids in this fandom.)

Every event can be as tame or as taboo as the people involved want it to be. We don't want anyone to feel as though they have to engage with a type of content they aren't comfortable with, this is just a space where 'taboo' things are allowed. Anything we post or reblog will be tagged accurately so that people can filter it out if they so choose. Individuals may choose to push or stay within whatever boundaries they like.

For Trick or Treat, I expect it to be a bit more tame simply due to the fact that prompts are submitted by individuals and this fandom is exceedingly tame compared to most others. I remember back in the day when writing smut at all would get you a call out post. But since there are prompts being submitted, it is expected that the contributors would follow them as closely as possible so that the trick or treater gets something they like.

For other events, I have two casual events in the planning stages, you could absolutely shove as much or as little in there as you'd like.

(And if you would like to participate in Trick or Treat but remain anonymous on some or all contributions, that is an option as well! The only catch is you would still have to be in contact with this blog so I would know what your blog is, and you can decide to trust me with that or not.)

Are RemRom related submissions allowed? For Any potential events?

We do allow RemRom for any potential events, this is, after all, the Taboo Tableau. For Trick or Treat specifically we will ask that it is not included in the contributor's work unless the trick or treater has specifically asked for it as it can be triggering to some. We also ask the trick or treaters keep in mind contributors might not feel comfortable filling those requests and as such they may want to have their alternative prompt not include the ship.

This is an adult event and adults should be able to engage with works critically and at their own discretion. Equating the works someone creates or engages with with what they want to see happen in real life is flawed and inaccurate. Every individual is welcome to decide if this is a deal breaker for them or not.

Trick or Treat!

After much thought a rule set has been devised. This is an 18+ event. Additional post with the contributor form to follow.

Contributor info:

Communication for contributors will be through a Tumblr community that you will be invited to from this blog. Contributors would be expected to create a drawing or fic based on one of two prompts that each trick or treater submits (more info in the community).

Trick or Treater info:

Welcome! Feel free to knock on our door (send an ask) and say "Trick or treat!". Your ask should include two distinct prompts, one of which will be filled. Prompts should include characters or pairings, whether you would like your fill to be implied/suggestive or explicit, and any specifics you would like to see. Ask prompts will be accepted from September 14 to October 4.

We ask that you start by only sending one ask, if we run out we'll call for an 8 PM Dump (the end of trick or treating when everyone gets rid of the extra candy by giving out handfuls or dumping their bowls). At this point you may send an additional ask. If we were to run out again we will call for a Day After Sale (love that clearance candy on Nov 1st) at which point you may send another additional ask.

If you ask on anon, we have no way of checking that you have followed the rules so we will be using an honor system.
