I WANNA DO A HOMESTUCK PANEL AT GANBATTE CON! who’s in?????
Edit to clarify; yes in Saskatoon!
Fan Expo Regina is this weekend!
Just thought you’d like to know.
Hoping to see you there!
I’m going to keep this short and sweet
I always have had my hands dipped in many different things. But if there’s one thing that has always been near to my heart in regards to fandoms, it’s the Homestuck fandom.
It always feels good inside you when you’re part of something big. But being a part of something huge is another story.
Every single little thing we’ve done to advance ourselves; every drawing, every ship, every fanfic, every alternate universe, ask blog, meetup, song, fan character, anime convention we’ve invaded, piece of fabric, blank t-shirt, stitch, package of paper clay and/or Model Magic, pod of gray theatrical makeup in combination with the purchase of the previous item, red, orange, and yellow paints (and one more color of your choice) in combination with the previous two, homemade God Tier hood, bucket we holler at because we’ve suddenly found it funny, case of Faygo soda and Tab cola, homemade Can Town, meme, and so on. The list can literally go on forever, because, besides a full-on MSPA convention, we have pretty much done it all, which is a major accomplishment.
But there’s one more thing that is the most important of them all:
The friends we’ve made.
We have the power to keep the legacy alive for years to come. The story of Homestuck may officially be over, but the universe will soon be expanding (talking to you, Hiveswap). This is not the end of our story, this is just the start of our own Act 2.
Many fandoms have followed in the footprints we’ve traveled. It’s okay to walk down a different path, but be sure to visit again once in a while.
But for now, I’m going to leave you with something that, in my personal opinion, best illustrates how we are all feeling tonight…
=> [s] Reminisce.
“How could it end this way?”
A word from our co-founder
Well, this is the end
Of Homestuck itself mind you.
But the fandom is never going to die.
Are you with us?
Sadly I might not be able to go to the SaskExpo, but I will be at the Fan Expo Regina.
Well, any post we made about SaskExpo as of now ... was about last year. Always fun to get ready for 2016 con season!
Sask Homestuck Cosplayers Only
Hey! So I was wondering if any Homestuck cosplayers would be interested in doing a CMV with me? Those of you at the Homestuck panel at sask expo might remember me as Lil Cal (with Aradia, we both had aussie accents). I have a script written up (which if you’re in, I’ll send to you and you can suggest edits) to the song Mother by Horizon. I have already gotten her permission to use it, so now I just need to find people willing to be in it. I have written quite a few scripts before, however this will be the first time I’ll be filming it myself. So here’s who I am looking for:
John, Rose, Jade, Roxy, Jane, Jake, Dave and Dirk.
For this you’ll need to be a godtier cosplayer, or in game version of them. Also a casual version. Filming will probably take a few days, but will be split up and you’ll only need to be there for the day your character is filmed (John is the main character, with Dave showing up pretty regularly). Feel free to bring a friend as a tag along if you’d like
If you’re interested in seeing one of my other cmv’s I’ve written, you can find my youtube channel which is QueensPuppyProductions
Send me a message if you’d be interested ^_^
Still looking for Dave, Rose and Jade

Let me know if you’d like to be tagged! I was the Lil Cal
We hope you’re enjoying Saskatoon Expo!
Post your HS-related photos under #saskstuck and we’ll be sure to reblog them!
And about Sunday; the photographer and/or head of this particular page might not be going? I’m not sure...
Just thought I'd chime in on our Saskatchewan cons! Regina: -Otaku Palooza July 2nd and 3rd, Argyle Park Community Center, Regina SK -Fanexpo Regina unknown date, Canada Center East at Evraz Place, Regina SK -Insta-Con unknown date, University of Regina, Regina SK. (This is a small one day con) Saskatoon: -Saskatoon Comic and Entertainment Expo Sept 19th-30th 2015, Prairieland Park Saskatoon Sk -Ganbatte Con This is a upcoming con in its planning stage, there is no set date or place.
So, it seems as if that the bruhaha that happened this year may have killed Saskatoon Blitz for good. Their social media outlets have also fallen silent for a few months now.
This may seem like old news, but it’s new to me, and probably a lot of us. This leaves just one anime con in the province that I know of; Otakupalooza in Regina. I’ve never been to it specifically, but it looks much smaller (even than Blitz).
The real question is, where do we go from here?
Homestuck Panel confirmed for Sask Expo!
Hello everyone! I applied to do a panel at the sask expo this year and it will be at 10:30 on Saturday! If anyone would like to help it would be much appreciated. I’m thinking of doing a sort of ‘Homestuck Quiz’ panel with prizes! Plus a short ‘Intro to Homestuck’ talking about the world and stuff. It’ll be fun!
[s] Reader: GET THE HYPE
> Saskatchewan: Outline your best behaviour
Even though it may be a little too late for some (given how most of the west coast cons of note have already come and gone), and that most of the fans from this province I’ve met have been nice, friendly, and not giving the overall fandom a bad name, I still think it’s an appropriate time to go over some basic con etiquette as we approach what has become our province’s “flagship” convention...
Some of this is stuff you should already know, but I still think taking some time to go over this again (especially given how the HS panel at Animethon was also partially a con etiquette panel) never hurts
The golden rule for everything is to ask before doing something. Taking photos, hugging, etc.
Show respect to others. Dressing like a character is not an invitation to act just like them, especially if they are known for being impolite (coughkarkatcough), no matter how many coats of that mix of various Ben Nye shades you’ve slathered on your face to get that perfect grey that has the exact same hex value as the sprites.
Don’t be a dick about the ships you don’t like.
Paint your buckets like Sloshers and donate them to Splatoon cosplayers instead of continuing to engage in the conduct they’ve been associated with.
(In fact, based on how they are portrayed, you shouldn’t even be bringing them out in public to begin with. ::::O )
One could do an entire page on the do’s and don’ts of makeup in regards to convention behaviour. But most of the time it boils down to seal your makeup, and don’t get it on other peoples’ stuff, dammit.
This is by no means an exhaustive guide; there is an entire tag full of resources, tips, guidelines, etc. You are representing a fandom, a country, and a province. Just stay safe and have fun.
> Saskatchewan: Freshen things up
It’s always nice to have a more MSPA-inspired look on a site like this. There will still be some tweaks here and there that need to be done, but aside from that...
In other news, Saskatoon Comic and Entertainment Expo is coming up in just over a month’s time. There have been plans for a Homestuck panel, but I’m not sure how they’re going (its open for auditions AFAIK)
