Hi all,

Not sure how many people who would have followed this account when I first ran this event back in 2015 will still be around/active Sam bloggers so I'l share this to my main too. But I am thinking of running this again this year for Sam's birthday (May 2nd).

For those unfamiliar, the basic concept is that it is a project to create a series of collaborative playlists based around 7 Sam-related themes in the run-up to Sam's birthday. The songs submitted by followers will be compiled into playlists for each theme and a piece of cover art created for each one. A masterplaylist will also be created for Sam's birthday day. For more details see this post from the original project.

I will probably run it slightly differently to give myself a little more time to get everything done, and start accepting submissions from the beginning of April (with the playlists/cover art then posted in the week leading up to Sam's birthday)

the problem with s15 & the idea of a continuation to the plot is that. they really did nuke themselves! there's no "logical" way for this story to move forward. in fact — whatever we already have in terms of a continuation asks a lot of suspension of disbelief of the audience imo.

this is all because you fully did introduce the ultimate player onto the board. like. level infinite over here (god) is just. so OPd in every way imaginable, it's crazyyyyyy that they even did what they did in the finale (which btw. i think that was stupid!!! there is no way to defeat chuck!!! unless he wants you to!!! that's the character you created!! but you can't have that!!! so it's stupid now!!!)

like if they tried to a revival, it's either a) nothing matters bc they literally KNOW GOD. and like any conflict can be solved by going hey maybe don't have people killing monsters. boom. bada bing bada boom! or b) this version of their capital g god also swears off of interfering (kinda like he did in the finale), but the problem with this is like. you showed yourself tho!!! and now you're going to disappear again!?!? how is this functionally ANY DIFFERENT from what chuck did which made him a bad dad and a bad god and had us all screaming crying when Dean's like YOU LET THE WORLD GO ON LIKE THIS?

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE THEN? NO?? NOTHING?? that's right we're back to square one except everything is going to suck 100000000000x bc we know for sure that there's a god and he doesn't wanna do anything on purpose.

like it's so funny to me!!! the implications of a lot of shit supernatural does. no greater proof of the idea that there can never be a benevolent god if he's the biblical one is just. so fucking crazy funny. i mean if it was another religion I feel like we atleast have some other rules! like for instance, despite everything, the Hindu gods are NOT omnipotent. they are omniscient, but they are not omnipotent!!! they are also playing by certain rules! like he built that into the mythology for the most part i think. but the biblical god is supposed to be both and if he is then he's just like. you simply cannot have that. if you want any meaningful conflict in your story !!! so then you have to disappear him! and then you're back in episode one. ykwim???????

the thing abt ruby supernatural that you all forget bc she's hot and evil girlboss slayqueen is that within the extremely abusive hierarchical power structure of demon world she is not the boss of anybody. she is a girlservant. she's an extremely ambitious underling. she is sexually subjugated by astaroth and Alastair and for most of her time on screen she is visibly terrified of being tortured and murdered. she is a religious fanatic hurling herself at martyrdom willing to give anything to the God she's chosen up to and including her literal physical flesh. She has no friends. she is so fucking interesting.
