This song has me on a chokehold
I haven’t stopped listening since they released it
The amount of gasps I just had all before the opening credits even rolled!!! Pursuit of Jade i love you and the angst you give me!!!!!!
Watching a hundred memories (I know I’m late but I’ve been in a drama slump for months now) but the first ep literally ending with jae pil looking at Yeong rye and saying this is how our story started (or something along those lines) makes me think things…
(I’ve been seeing clips of eps as they air and this scene alone just made me question a lot of of what I’d seen posted by others)
Bae Seok Ryu’s Dad: Join our family!
Seung Hyo: I’M TRYING!!!!!
Why is the ex always just randomly popping up like 🧍🏻
MO EUM IS THE BEST!!!
I love they had her just hug Seok Ryu and offer her some comfort and support and love. Ugh I adore their friendship.
While I think the betrayal of being kept in the dark hurt Seung Hyo it’s very clear he was more hurt and upset that not only did she have to go through something like that but that she also went through it without the support of any of them. He wasn’t crying just for himself but also for her and what she went through/is going through.
Oh my god, Jung Hae In once again blew me away with his acting when he found out about Seok Ryu. You could feel the pain, concern, shock and really every emotion that Seung Hyo was feeling in that moment. He’s already had moments that have completely shaken him, but here you could feel how his world just completely came to a harsh stop and he’s just left reeling with an onslaught of emotion.
Just phenomenal acting on his part!
Then you have Jung So Min also giving a great performance of the panic she’s feeling as her secret comes to light to not only him but her mom as well. You can feel the pain and burden she’s been carrying as she finally weeps in her mother’s arms.
I really can’t imagine any other actor or actress playing these characters, just great work from these two!!! Not to be dramatic but type of acting is exactly why I fell in love with kdramas lol
Finished the ep and I really wish they would have let Seok Ryu tell people on her own terms but oh well I guess. Him reading her diagnosis and her reading his letter was essentially a parallel just with hers being a way more serious secret she was hiding. But honestly who just goes through someone’s purse and reads their medical records like that lol anyways very emotional scene and it was well done though I wish they would have talked a bit more before bringing in her mom who if I’m being honest I don’t really like. Excited for tomorrow’s ep lol
Mo Eum and her fake nonchalance is so fun to watch
Really liked how they had Seung Hyo tell her not to tell him how he feels. Scenes like this where they’re trying to convince the other they don’t know their feelings are one of my least favorite type of scenes so I’m really happy with how they handled it. Maybe she’s trying to convince herself more than him but still as he said she has no right to do it even if she is the one he loves.
I’m still watching and maybe I’m a little biased towards Seung Hyo, but I appreciate that from what I remember he’s never once doubted Seok Ryu and her decision to learn to cook. Meanwhile her ex (sorry don’t care enough to remember his name) while trying to be supportive still brings up failure just like her parents. I’m glad that not only is she steadfast in her dream, but that she also at least has Mo Eum and Seung Hyo who also have an unwavering believe in her and her decision.
I’ve only seen it in Crash Landing on You and now in Love Next Door (there might be more but I can’t remember) but I love love love love when the guys get gifted plants from the woman they love and they cherish it and try their best to keep it alive lol
I really liked the scene with Mo Eum and Seung Hyo and glad we got them alone again. Also love that she was asking about his heart beating faster 😂 I hope he’ll catch on quick about her and Dan Ho. I would love tho if they had scenes where they don’t just speak about Seok Ryu, it’d be nice to see their friendship outside of it. I’m sure if she still had his number and everything then maybe they were hanging out without Seok Ryu while she was away (or at least I hope they did) so I’d like to see that dynamic as well.
The absolute glee on Seung Hyo’s face while watching Seok Ryu enjoy her meal, he was so proud of himself for taking her to a good spot.
He’s so so so so in love
