Hi! I got here from a link you put on Reddit! Can I hear more about BEST4 please? Because now I’m really curious and you don’t seem to have posted much about it yet. What kind of music do they play, for starters? And what’s their SEKAI like?
Oh hi! Wow I didn't think someone would actually be interested in them haha but of course you can, I love talking about them!
First off, they're a group of DJs, meaning their music would consist mostly of electro/club music and remixes. Since they always like to improve themselves and push the boundaries of their music, there's also a bit of alternative stuff in there like ATOLS' 'Macaron' for example. If they were to become an actual PJSK group, their first covers would be Neru's 'The Disease Called Love' and Kashi Moimi's 'Insanity Blue'.
Their names are Nakano Hifumi (brown haired girl), Watanabe Sion (green haired guy), Kojima Mai (black haired girl) and Kitagawa Haruto (purple haired guy). It's okay if you forget them I won't blame you haha. In general they're very competitive people, Hifumi especially (she's the leader), and it's kind of why they don't really get along. Each one of them being a solo artist before they formed this group, they all have their own idea as to how to improve their music, and sometimes these ideas end up clashing. The biggest dispute though is between Haruto and Sion, who fought back in middle school/early high school and haven't been able to make up since.
The theme of their SEKAI is 'futuristic'. As for the place itself, the idea isn't set in stone yet but for now I like the idea of them being on the rooftop of a building in a big city, at night, with several floating metallic platforms that serve as their stages.
When they first get there, there are only Miku, Rin and Len. Unlike the Mikus from other SEKAI, this Miku is very standoffish and flat out refuses to perform with them at first! She represents the strong persona that some vocaloid songs like Ghost Rule, Kimagure Mercy or Unhappy refrain use. It's only when BEST4 reaches a satisfying level that she agrees to help them. As for Rin and Len, at first they feel pretty lifeless, almost robot-like, you will never find one without the other to the point where they seem to share a mind. But they eventually grow into their own after a few event stories.
I'm currently trying to come up with proper designs and character sheets for them but it's been a struggle to come up with satisfying outfits heh. Hopefully I'll be able to finish them soon, but don't hesitate if you have anymore questions, I'd never pass up an opportunity to talk about what I have planned for them!
