RIP to the instagram post I just saw that was like “Bruce Wayne is a bad person because he uses his billions to fund a vigilante fantasy and make cool gadgets instead of giving all of it away to charity” and the responses (he DOES give away his money!! he DOES donate to charity!!), while correct, are pissing me off because everyone is missing the much more obvious reason why the writers don’t make him give all his money away: it’s boring

when absolute dick also develops a guilt complex from this incident and starts to overwork himself because what if he'd been there. What if he hadnt taken that break. What if he could've saved him. What if he listened to Slade when he said to stop at nothing to catch Batman.

And like realistically, bro was kebab skewered straight through the heart there was no saving him. He was probably dead before he even hit the floor, but Dick "saviour complex" Grayson still gonna find a way to blame himself for not being there and not being able to at least do something.
