These LW shows just keep getting better and better. Toronto Long Winter Series raises the bar with every instalment! The latest being our first time ever seeing locals Fake Palms, play live. Adding to the magic of their performance was a stage set up created by Bottom’s Dream Collective (pictured). They are loud, they atmospheric, sincere....they are everything a band should be. Boy are we slow in the uptake with these guys....definitely not missing ANY gigs they may have coming up...
Elsa played the main hall beforehand and had no problems filling the space with their shoegazey tapestry of sounds. We are faithful fans of the band, attending pretty much every show. They never disappoint. Not sure if this was the final instalment of the season but The Long Winter is a DONT MISS event in our books.
Completing the night, perfectly (for us at least): an art exhibit of bathroom graffiti. Hilarious, drunken quotes and pearls of wisdom brought you by intoxicated loo-users. Ingenious and interesting to boot.
