Material progress

Material progress has a negative side. Starting with Newton and Descartes, nature came to be seen as a mechanical device, understandable by the application of mechanics and mathematics. This approach left little room for the divine or any form of spiritual influence.

Hierarchies of Beings-

Everywhere there is consciousness and everywhere there is life, for there is no empty space or inanimate matter anywhere in the universe. A gulf exists between the consciousness of the Divine All and the awareness of a human being. By necessity, a gradation of consciousness is needed between the one indescribable Divine and the ordinary human.

Savaric – Working with Wisdom

In working with this concept of accessing the Wisdom, it is also necessary to work fluently in the conventional material world.  These two aspects need to be in balance and harmony for the positive aspects of the Wisdom to be fully and fully experienced.

In looking at spiritually inspired community projects, Spirituality is the inspiration behind such ventures, but they need to be created within the facilities and practices of the present materialistic paradigm.  As always, the key to success is to hold the balance between these conflicting scenarios – look us look at this paradox.

Material ability

With the invention of the steam engine came the ability to harness power. With the understanding of electricity came the ability to transmit this power for use at a distance from its source. For the first time in the history of humankind, abundant power could be supplied anywhere, whereas before the only sources were localised water, wind and animal or human labour. This new source of power enabled factories to be established resulting in the mass migration from the countryside to the towns.

Planes of Being

The word Planes is used to describe different frequencies of spiritual energy.  The words ‘above’ and ‘below’ are often used and imply the physical separation of items that in reality occupy the same space but at different energy levels. The spiritual world could be thought of as a different universe interpenetrating the physical world.

Concept of the Wisdom

The teaching of the Wisdom is found in many places, including Anthroposophy the Hindu religion, Sufism, early Christianity, Mysticism and other spiritual paths. It is perhaps most clearly defined in Theosophy, Gnosticism and Hermetica – the understanding of these paths lies behind our concept of the Wisdom.
