âOw! I said Iâm fineâ The Biker whined while the Batter persistently poked around the gash he suffered on his side. Biker had let Batter lead this time, he wasnât sure where the Batter was taking him, but followed him under the promise of âfinding more impure soulsâ. He soon discovered though that it was not a weird way of talking about fifty blessings, the guys they just butchered were common thugs. Well, not too common given the fact one had landed a deep cut in his side that was bleeding out his vest.âLetâs just get the fuck out of hereâ he mumbled, not at all pleased at how things had gone down.Â
âYea itâs fuckân important, cause I need to know who wrote your traffic laws so I can fuckân purge themâ. Despite the vulgar language he was grinning about it, so he wasnât the only secretive one? that was fine, see if he told him where he could get something to eat in the middle of the night again! There was a large four story complex that was all lit up. âHere we are, Hospitalâ he announced happily.Â
He was quiet again at that. Perhaps having never driven a car before was no excuse for not knowing the relevant laws here. Not wanting to make himself sound any more out of place than he obviously was already, the Batter kept silent on the matter until they reached a large building with illuminated windows.
Though he successfully pulled into the driveway, the brake was applied rather harshly, and there was no effort put into parking somewhere sensible at all. Instead the car was stopped crooked in the middle of the driveway. The Batter pushed the shift back into its former position - which perhaps hinted at what a quick learner he was.
He grabbed his bat from where he had stashed it and got out of the car then, though only after taking a moment to find the door handle. He moved around to the passenger side to wait for Biker, gazing up at the building in the meantime.
Hold still.

He rolled his eyes and leered over at the Batter. âYea, I know that, look if weâre gonna be ⊠purging together you ought to give me more to work with then that, Sick of working with people I donât knowâ. He wasnât about to let that kind of answer slide, not when he was bleeding out after the Batter had the bright idea of approaching those thugs. âTake an other right up hereâ.Â
But Biker wanted more of an answer. The Batter stared out at the road for another long minute, though he looked as calm and pensive as ever in the midst of his hesitance. The answer he was reluctant to give - or even acknowledge, for that matter- was the clearest answer he could give, but he wasnât sure even the second clearest answer was any more believable.
Maybe he could debate his way out of answering. âIs it important?â He asked placidly, taking the turn instructed. âIâve been a useful ally to your cause. Isnât that all that matters?â The Batter either learned quickly or was a skilled multi-tasker, as he kept his eyes on the road while he spoke, and conversation didnât appear to be any more of a detriment to his driving.
Batter and JudgeÂ
i am going to play off again.
Dream Of Purification
âI want to thank you Mister Batter. I would have never been able to do this if not for you helping me. Your strength is as great as I expected. I also know that you tried to destroy what remained of that girlâs soul, but I donât hate you for it. There was a chance that I couldnât get through to her, had I failed I would have certainly put an end to her suffering myself no matter what to cost. It was my mistake that caused her to be the way she was, I wanted to be the one who destroyed her if that was the case. Iâm sorry I acted selfishly, at the time I followed what my heart told me to do. We thankfully achieved what we came here to do, although White Rabbit remains we saved this world from his clutches. It has returned to its original form.â
Allen also fell to the floor exhausted after the harrowing adventure both he and his new ally had encountered. The surroundings were as Allen stated normal. They had no color but they evoked a sense of life and peace that had been sorely lacking not too long ago. Batter would feel quite at home in a place such as this since it was as pale as he was, but knowing the purifier he wasnât interested in such things. In a few moments he would probably want to go fight some other mutated monstrosity of corruption.
That was just how he wasâŠ
As always, the Batter appeared to listen patiently. Allen was certainly the most long-winded companion he had ever had. But it wasnât important. But the last piece of Allenâs statement stood out to him, and he reflected on it thoughtfully for a moment before replying.
âThe White Rabbit is who tainted this place?â If the source of that impurity still existed, it would be important to destroy the source. But the Batter was also low on energy and on supplies. His own mission in his own world was of the greatest importance; he knew he would need to survive to fulfill it, and that pursuing whatever remained of the malevolent forces here would be particularly dangerous now. Perhaps it would have to wait until another time.
Dream Of Purification
âThe time has come for you to let go of your pain and go to the other-side in peace. You were XXXXd never forget that.â
âNo! You wonât take that soul from me! Her despair is mine to feast upon for all eternity!â
âYouâre wrong White Rabbit, she isnât full of despair anymore. Sheâs free from the pain you inflicted upon her constantly! Her soul can join those other children who are forever beyond your grasp. Accept your loss with grace at the very least, like a gentleman should.â
âYou will come to regret the action youâve taken this day Alice. You may think that you are beyond reproach, but you are sorely mistaken. I am fully aware of your fatal weakness. Your heroic light of hope only shines where there is someone there to witness it. Alone you are nothing! We shall see how strong you stay when your loneliness eats away your heart until nothing remains. While you may have taken this soul from me there are thousands of others. Your struggles are always in vain, just sit back and accept the fate Iâve spun for you. All the pain can stop then and you wonât have to wander any more.â
âI will never accept any fate that you offer me horrible monster! Disappear now from this place! Youâre no longer needed!â
With that said the dreamworld began to grow brighter and brighter, with each passing second the darkness dissipated completely. The girl who lay at the center of this world, was moving onto better things now. There was no pain to be found on her face, in-fact she was smiling serenely as her soul rose upwards to the skies above. Allen smiled back and waved, until the girl was gone from this dimension. The world was now purifiedâŠ
The monstrous tendrils dissipated, dissolving away as the light brightened across the landscape. The Batter felt a burning, too, at first, until the pestilence causing his Furious state was also burned away.
He was worn out. The Batter swayed unsteadily, stumbled once, then finally dropped to sit, perching the end of his bat against the floor and leaning on it. He could sense that the malevolent force had been purged from this area. It felt as much Allenâs doing as his own, and he wasnât certain how he felt about that; operating with an Add-On or a puppeteer was different than operating with a physical, independent ally. His gaze lifted for the boy wearily while he caught his breath.
Iâm in the mood for OFF right now!

âTo jail if you donât get back in your laneâ he groaned, motioning over to there side of the road with the hand that wasnât applying pressure to his wound. âThereâs an apartment complex off of-⊠oh you donât know your way around here!â He let out a frusterated sigh and proceeded to tell him where to turn off. Some times heâd have to correct the batters driving, seriously wherever this guy came from it must have been pretty depressing. Come to think of itâŠÂ âSo where are you from any way?â he finally asked, figuring if this guy was gonna hang around he best get to know him.Â
The Batter compliantly followed Bikerâs gesture and moved over into the right lane, his steering still slightly jerky. It was a good thing the road wasnât very curvy, or the Batterâs driving would probably be enough to make someone motion sick.
He was skilled at following directions, at least, and maintained a steady speed that wasnât too slow nor too fast, just reasonably brisk enough to cater to the urgency of Bikerâs wound and be able make turns when instructed.
He stared ahead at the road after the manâs question, looking somewhat thoughtful, though whether he was thinking about his answer or just concentrating on the road was difficult to tell. There was enough hesitation to suggest the Batter might not answer at all. â... Far from here.â There was an alternative, more informative answer the Batter could provide, but it wasnât an answer he particularly liked.

âOh for fuck sake-â In his rush to get the hell out of there her tapped the shift lever. âPut your foot on the stop peddle and move that until it lines up with the D, then you can go. Of course he was also neglecting to tell the Batter about some very important traffic laws.
Eyeing the lever, the Batter pressed on the brake and moved the lever as instructed. When he took his foot off of the break, the car began to creep forward, albeit slowly - so the Batter started to press his foot down on the gas, making a sudden jerk out onto the street as he turned the wheel. It took him some less-than-smooth fluctuations in speed to get accustomed to the sensitivity of the gas pedal; likewise with the steering wheel. But fortunately, it was such an hour that there was no one else on the street at the moment, besides some parked cars the Batter managed to avoid.
âWhere are we going?â He prompted calmly, having taken up a fairly steady cruising speed in the center of the road.

cleaverxfever:
He wasnât bout to have some rookie driving his bike, least of all when he was bleeding out and one stupid accident could flip them over. âUhhhâŠ. Oh, look, my carâ he painfully hobbled over to the parked car beside his bike and sent the handle of the cleaver in to the window.Â
He then made haste, unlocking the door and crouching beside the car, he was reaching up under the steering wheel, pulling at wires. It didnât take him long with the vintage of the car to find a power and ignition wire, striking the two together to get the engine running. âOkay, get in the car, this is gonna be an easier rideâ He circled around and dropped in to the passenger seat, setting both hands on his wound. It was a good thing this was an automatic because if it was standard they were fucked. âokay, foot pedal to your left stops, foot pedal to your right makes you go fast, turning the wheel steers us, youâll get a feel for itâ. Yea, maybe he should just take his chances with walkingâŠ
His gaze followed Biker over to the larger machine, watching as the man broke open a window. The Batter could be naive in worlds he was unfamiliar with, but he wasn't stupid. Nonetheless, he understood the necessity of the situation. He glanced for the motorcycle pensively. Whether or not a car would be easier to operate, he wasn't sure, but he trusted Biker's decision and finally followed to do as instructed, moving into the driver's side seat when prompted.
It sounded simple. The Batter started to push his foot down on the gas pedal - the vehicle roared readily but didn't move. The Batter studied the wheel, dashboard, and console. "I think you're forgetting something." He said calmly. The inside of the car seemed to be filled with important-looking machinery, but the Batter wasn't sure which of these would allow the car to start moving, only that Biker seemed to have missed a step in his instructions.

Kristina woke up within an unfamiliar place, wincing lightly from the sudden bright light. Stupid..Wizard.. she thought to herself, grunting as she slowly lifted herself off the ground. Her eyes eventually adjusted to the light and her surrounds were different from the battlefields she was in just a few moments ago. Slight panic settled into her as the only weapon she had with her at the moment was her sandman.Â
âThe hell..?â she murmurs, glancing around in this.. strange new place.
The sudden appearance of a figure behind his opponent made his gaze flicker for the stranger. The Valzong Burnt, however, hadn't appeared to notice, still facing the Batter, flexing its black claws, pitch black smoke funneling violently up out of the collar of its shirt. The monster made some kind of mechanical screech.
The Batter turned his attention for the beast again, not wanting to be distracted for too long, and darted forward, making a swift leap through the air. He moved so fast as to become a white blur before crashing his weapon against the Burnt's chest and landing just next to the dark-haired stranger. He didn't so much as glance at her. He was occupied, his gaze focused.
Before the Burnt had even turned back around to face him, the Batter dashed forward once more to whip his bat into the monster's stomach. He reappeared opposite the stranger again some distance away, weapon at the ready. But the Burnt's stream of black smoke began to sputter until dying out. The monster crumpled, dropped, and in another moment, vanished; in its place lay some items on the ground. Scattered papers, and a black tie not unlike the one the Burnt had been wearing. The Batter moved to stand over the items but stared at the stranger, who he noticed was wielding a baseball bat; but the stranger was not a Purifier, the Batter could sense that.
"Who are you?"
