Not sure if anyone asked before, but... Considering some clues people found, could it be that there would be 7 chapters in total?

Now that Deltarune Chapter 1 is out, what's your current stance on the whole "the player is an in-universe character" theory?

As a sort of last tumblr hurrah I suppose I could answer this before the site falls on our heads...

I’mma avoid making any statements about Undertale, and I think that Deltarune is an inherently unsolvable puzzle until it comes out, so I feel like broad statements about what’s going on will yield about as much fruit as trying to guess Undertale’s twist from the original demo.

But in Deltarune, its clear that people find the way Kris behaves weird and out-of-character. Whatever role we play, its clear that its something new to this world and to Kris’ life. It’s too early imo to tell if its some ‘player’ element, or something far stranger...But our role in this world is...Interesting. 

I look forward to learning more about it.
