Welcome to Blob!

I started my gain in 2020 weighing in at a meager 135 pounds. Five years later I’m just shy of 300 and have never felt better about my body. Gaining really gave me a whole new relationship with my body and my sexuality.

So I am curious what gaining methods you have found the most successful? Have you had the best results by eating a ton all of the time, or did stuffing sessions drive the gains? Have you seen different results from eating sugary deserts versus comfort foods/starchy carbs or dairy? Were you able to expand your stomach so you are always hungry or does it always feel like work to eat a lot. Also, from a mental standpoint, do you feel guilty about gaining and then lose a little of weight, only to start gaining again to get to a new plateau?? I am interested in any perspective and advice you may have. I am a gainer in very similar situation to you. Started out at 5’9” 145 and am now up to almost 205. I’m at that point where I am trying to decide about taking next step, but that will mean becoming more noticeably fat. Seems like that happened to you around 215-230…Any and all perspective would be most appreciated. Thank you!

It's great to hear about your progress! Going from 145 to 205 is a big shift and takes a lot of dedication, so you should be proud of the work you've put in.

I’ve found that consistency usually outweighs stuffing sessions. Eating a steady caloric surplus provides a stable baseline that helps maintain energy levels. Dairy, if your stomach can handle it, was king for getting me to where I am. Over time, your stomach definitely expands and adapts, making it easier to hold more food, but it can still feel like a chore at times since your body naturally resists the surplus to maintain its previous baseline.

I struggle with the guilt of gaining and putting in all that hard work just to lose it. Every gainer will tell you it's completely normal and okay. It's not linear, bodies are gonna body. So just enjoy the ride and be kind to yourself. You deserve it!
