(**) chrissy is from the 80s, from a small town, and incredibly religious, so sexuality is a complicated subject. she doesn’t feel attraction easily, has only felt it a handful of times and only with boys, ones she’d known, even from afar, enough to grow a connection to-- jason, obviously, then eddie who she had been watching in the cafeteria for the entire senior year, and previously steve, whom she had more of a puppy crush when she was much much younger. she’s never felt attracted to any girl, so she doesn’t consider them a possibility, but she barely felt attracted to boys to begin with, so that’s not set on stone.

daughter of laura and philip cunningham, older daughter of philip cunningham jr. student at hawkins high, captain of the cheerleading squad. she has big dreams, but a small voice. living with a controlling abusive mother in a conservative household, chrissy has developed a lot of insecurities and issues within herself, including an eating disorder. despite everything, she remains kind. offers others the type of care and compassion she wishes she could recieve at home, and because of that she’s become one of the most popular girls in hawkins high. chrissy is deeply protective of her little brother, whom she’d give her life for, and feels pity for her father for allowing himself to be pushed around by her mother. when she was younger, in kindergarten, she used to have a crush on steve harrington so big that she’d planned their entire wedding in one of her journals. she genuinely enjoys cheerleading, but her dream is to one day become a teacher. she loves kids, small animals, and plants. her favorite musician is blondie, her favorite show is charlie’s angels.
