Eijun cringes at his boyfriend’s words before placing a hand on the boy’s shoulder in haste and staring into the elders’ eyes with genuine concern. “Kazuya, are you okay?” The pitcher clutched at Kazuya’s shoulder a little bit tighter, forcing a tight-lipped smile with his eyebrows raised. “Please, no more pick-up lines or lines of the sort.” Patting the other’s shoulder lightly, he leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Love you!”

Kazuya chuckles. “Well maybe you’re an idiot. That’s why you don’t get them. Plus I only say them to you, Babe. So be happy about that” he states with smirk. “Unless you want me to try them on someone else” he teases before chuckling.

Kazuya squeezes his hand as he their hang swings in between them. “Because I bet using them on the team would cause hilarious reactions” he states with a smirk. They really were aimlessly walking now with no destination set but Kazuya couldn’t care less. As long as he is with Eijun where they’re going really didn’t matter to him.

“Ugh,” Eijun’s face scrunches up when his boyfriend mentions how he says pick-up lines only to him, “okay, so maybe it’s better that you only say it to me, but how ‘bout not saying them at all?” The brunet grins and raises his arms up in the air as if he was shrugging before letting out a little laugh. “Sorry, Kazu.”

He purses his lips and raises both of his brows. “But honestly, I’m kind of not.”

“And, If you want to use some pick-up lines on one of the team members, make sure they know you’re fooling around and tell me their reactions if I’m not there.” Eijun grins cheekily and to lessen the blow of the insult to Kazuya’s pick-up lines, he leans his head on the older’s shoulder.

Kazuya sighs. He should have expected that reaction considering he did practically ignore his boyfriend and on his birthday no less. It was quite an asshole move on his part. He did feel really bad for ignoring him but he had a reason and that was he wanted to make the cake he made for him a true birthday surprise. “I got you something” he says, trying to ease the tension. “Here for my favorite person in the world” he say with a smile as pulls the balloons from behind his back. “Happy Birthday Babe” he says sweetly with a loving smile.

Kazuya knew that this probably wasn’t going to make his boyfriend forgive him easily but he is hoping the cake he personally made for him would. However he still didn’t want to give it to him just yet. He had to ease him into it first. “Come on smile, Babe. It’s your birthday. No need to be pouting” he says with a cheeky smile. “If it helps I’m glad you were born this day sixteen years ago” he says teasingly with a smirk as he tries to hand his boyfriend the balloons.

“Come on, Babe. Please take them. I bought them just for you. I promise I’ll catch as many pitches you want today too” he adds with a pout of his own. “Plus if you don’t take them then I can’t give you your real present” he says hoping that this will get him to pay attention to him. Another nudge of his hand, Kazuya gives him an even bigger pout. “Please babe”.

“You tell my not to pout, but you’re pouting.” Eijun finally concedes and huffs. He turns towards his boyfriend and raises a brow. “So? What do you have to appease this abandonment feeling?” He narrowed his eyes and continued to stare at Kazuya accusingly. “And I’m only surrendering because you told me you have another present, okay?” He quickly adds before crossing his arms and pouting just a bit. “This is for ignoring me the entire day, you know.”
