First Post? Does this count?

It will be a little quiet in my corner until I work up the nerve to post something, so bear with me.

My intent is to post snippets of my WIPs, and assorted drabbles or warm-up pieces. (To clear the clutter from my desktop, as it were.)

I prefer to write romantic, sexy (read: NSFW) pieces between an older man and a younger woman. Usually one-shots, but those long sort of one-shots that probably should be broken into a couple chapters. It's what I get asked for, it's what I enjoy, it's my jam and I shall be sticking with it.

I'm tired of Hades being the creepy one on the relationship

AU where Persephone is a zombie. She died too young and her mom couldn't bear to let her go and breathes a wisp of life into her every morning to keep her almost-not-quite alive by her side. This is a little uncomfortable for Persephone, but she's an adaptable type, so she rolls with it.

Hades kidnaps her because she's *already dead*, hello, did she get lost? It's an unkindness to leave a soul wandering. Turns out he wildly misread the situation and now he's got an annoyed and amused zombie houseguest causing all kinds of trouble while she waits for her mom to come knocking.

Also Persephone thinks the underworld is fucking awesome (*way* more comfy than being dead in the living world) and Hades is stupid-cute and pretty soon she's working out an elaborate plot to timeshare.

This concept absolutely works. It could be played for laughs, but then has grounding moments of sobering clarity with loss and grief, rebirth through love, and so many other things.

Demeter also can go back to the roots (pun!) of the story as well: she was a woman wronged because no one would help her when her daughter was kidnapped and was not actually a villain [many retellings rework her to be overbearing and callous] - in this concept, she is also not a villain, just a woman wronged by her daughter's untimely and hurting severely, coping in an unhealthy way but doing her best.

Love the breath of fresh air (pun!) that this would have for such a classic tale! Goddess of Rebirth, Queen of the Underworld!

Not to mention, a zombie as an underworld god isn't unheard of. After all, Osiris in Egyptian mythology was a zombie.

Back! on! my! BULLSHIT!!

I don’t normally do age differences, unrequited angsty pining or any of that rot, but damn if it doesn’t just work for me with the headcanon of Mercy being just perpetually tired and so over it, and yet somehow still not entirely bitter.

So I was kind of thinking about Ang having a sort of innocent crush on Gabe in early days when she’s young and idealistic and he’s older and handsome and so dangerous.  And then, you know, fifteen, twenty years pass by and she’s older and jaded and a little cynical and she has known entirely too many dangerous men.  

But she’s loved him the whole time - now more than ever.  Not because he deserved it.  Maybe just because he needed it.  Who knows.

Anyway, at this point, Mercy is so far past giving any fucks that all historical records of the last fuck she gave have been lost to the ravages of time.  He might as well know.

Will it end in tragedy or is there somehow still hope for them???

So this was a prompt request that was anonymous, and it was for a returned from the dead kiss with Mercykill.  So, this is a little off-topic but I was thinking again of that Rat King/Fallen King and Sugarplum Fairy AU I doodled way back and it seemed to fit.  Here, both of them have come back from the brink, in different ways, probably saved each other, bloody delicious.  It’s just me up to my same old tricks once again, but too bad, I draw what I like <3

I do try to make mine individuals, but they always seem to wind up with some sort of self-esteem issue. Poor things have a hard time loving themselves...
