Friendly reminder to check your breasts while you’re just sitting there scrolling the internet, then reblog so your followers do the same. Two people I know were just diagnosed within the same week.
Hi, hello! I know I haven't posted anything in a hot minute (oops, my bad) but since we are all nerds and good looking latinos in here, may I bring your attention to Venezuela for a second? A small Pedro tax to grab your attention to this post
Important Update: the platform is no longer accepting volunteers due state persecution 🙁 If you want to help still and live abroad, please consider donate to certified entities acting in Venezuela without government connections. My Venezuelans friends told me about these two places where your donation will for sure arrive to the people who need them:
Caritas Venezuela - Donate
Yummy Rides - Donate
If you can't donate money, donate your time to your local Venezuelan community! Most places need hands to separate and pack the donations before sending them out.
I will maintain the old post up in case someone knows another initiative similar, but the one I originally wrote about is no longer available.
ORIGINAL POST UNDER THE LINE:
A lot is happening in the country after the earthquake, there are people trapped still under the rubble. As time goes by it gets harder to save them so any action is crucial. Volunteers from outside Spanish speaking countries are there right now to help and this is where they need your support!
If you speak Spanish plus any other language, they are searching for volunteers to help translate the dialogue between the rescue team and the locals. If you know some medical vocab, even better!
It took me about a minute to register at their website, you can choose the time of the day when you are available (Venezuela is under GMT -5), the languages you speak other than Spanish and the what would be the best way to get in touch with you (if you have WhatsApp even better). Please, if you can, consider be a volunteer: click here to register
