Me vs Other Vocaloid/Utau fans
Others: omfg enkhewjjene YOU ARE SATAN!!! There are so many studios suffering to make their vocaloids successful and they'll go under because of your cheap ass!
Me: What vocaloids are you pirating?
[Insert name here]: Miku, Rin, Len, and Gumi...
Me: Are you making any original songs and getting a -P name? Are you selling any works you made?
[Insert name here]: No. I'm just making covers and learning how to use it. I don't use it everyday and 30 day trials aren't long enough for me to decide if I like the voice enough to buy.
Me: I hear you. Some vocaloids are really expensive and why spend money for something you won't like in the long run? Esp. when regulations make it impossible to get a refund and return the product? If you're just using it for fun and don't plan on becoming famous or making profit... do you.
Others (Vocaloid): There are too many girls and all of these new ones sound the same/kawaii-moe-desu ne. Why aren't they more diverse styles, ages, and languages? Why aren't my favorite singers making vocaloids? Everyone makes fun of me for liking anime with chipmunk voices.
Me: I agree, but studios tried to be diverse and people complained...
Luka + Meiko: too slutty and too much competition for Miku for MiKaito shippers.
Tone Rion + Gacha + Miki: their voices and concept are unique but so annoying!
Sweet Ann + Big Al + ZOLA Project: T_T their designs scare me! Why aren't they cute like the Japanloids?
Gakupo + Piko + Hio: their voices pale in comparison to their voice providers
Leon + Lola + Miriam: Who? They're English and have no artwork/non-anime artwork? All Englishloids suck!
This is why vocaloid studios don't bother anymore. Making vocaloids cost money and if they don't sell, then there's no incentive to make ones outside of the formula that works.
Others: There are too many traps/tsunderes/furloids.
Me: It's their utau and they can make it whatever they want. You don't like the design? Don't use it when making the video. Draw your own and make them human/the gender you think they are. You don't like the personality/orientation? No one cares about personality and there are non-straight singers in real life that have to pretend they're straight all the time and they sing songs that are gender neutral or specifically for their target audience.
Others: I like the design but the voice... I don't like it.
Me: Then why are you watching the video? Are you just watching it on mute? That's a waste of time.
Others: I like the voice, but the design needs work.
Me: Draw your own design then or extract/download the audio if you don't like looking at the artwork.
