Apache on MAMP wont start after upgrade to OSX Yosemite

If you have the same problem as I, after upgrading your OSX to Yosemite, your Apache in MAMP wont start - then this could probably be the solution:

Go to your MAMP folder in Applications. Go to bin -> apache2 -> bin:

Then change envvars to _envvars.

I also came across another problem of it not working correctly. Make sure the ports are apache defaults, and NOT the mamp defaults (port 80 etc). If it works straight away, this should not apply to you.

How-to turn of the built in apache in OSX

sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.apache.httpd.plist
