     [ ❀ ] ; Flinching slightly at the sudden voice within her vicinity, it takes everything in the monarch’s power to not whip around to face the other abruptly. Reaching out towards a nearby package, the warrior’s view is instead guided to another nearby.

He snaps out of his thoughts on being spoken to, and rubs the back of his head when he speaks next, “Yeah, I am.” He’s really interested in it, never having seen a dragon before in his life. It looks cool, but he only ever thought they were mythical.

“He’s bigger than this in actuality? Did the scientists shrink him? How big is he normally? Does he breathe fire?” Maybe he should cool it with the questions, he realizes, but he really wants to know more.

     [ ❀ ] ; Upon hearing his sudden influx of questions, the princess can only give a soft chuckle in return at first. She supposes it’s only natural to wish to know more about something you have never encountered before... In fact, the monarch finds herself to be very much the same the more time she spends within this city.

     ❝ He is, yes; the scientists made him smaller than he usually is. Wind Drakes are quite large; so much so that we can ride them! ❞

     ❝ However, no; he does not breathe fire. ❞ Hiryuu grunts at that tiredly, clearly not impressed.

     [ ❀ ] ; ❝ Oh, hello! ❞ comes the greeting of the princess, glancing up from the book she reads. Seated upon the couch within the central area (with the cushion beside her being occupied by her slumbering wind drake), it’s easy for her to see who comes in and out of the apartment... And this time it’s none other than the person with whom she shares this living space with.

     However, despite living together for two months the monarch still knows little about the other... Which prompts Lenna to now extend an invitation to the man.

when your muse loves someone (whether it be romantic, platonic, or familial love), how do they show it?

( lenna is very openly loving and kind towards her family members and those she holds very close to her heart. she is very protective over them and this is something that has only grown more strongly over time due to losing both of her parents and having her sister absent from her life for so long. also because of this, she tries to convey her feelings honestly to them and makes sure to know they’re appreciated. )

( in terms of romance, however, she can be very… well, awkward. it’s something very new to her and as a result, she struggles to determine how she should act around the person she likes. regardless, she tries to be earnest as she always does which may result in her embarrassing herself at times but it’s fine… it’s fine. once she gets more comfortable with being more open, she would definitely like to hold hands as much as possible with the person or hold onto their arms in public! she would be a very gentle kisser, too. )

what message would your muse send to their past self, if any? 

( she knows that she can’t change the past and even if she could, she wouldn’t want to. even still, she has difficulty with the losses she has endured so she would most likely ask for her younger self to be strong. not just for herself, but for everyone she will become close to, for her people and for the world as a whole. )

     [ ❀ ] ; With a smile does the princess regard the stranger, head tilting curiously for a moment. Within her arms she holds her shrunken wind drake companion as always, and she comes to a realization that this may be the cause for the stranger’s stare full of wonder.

     ❝ Are you looking at Hiryuu? ❞ she finally asks, smile still kind as always.

     ❝ He’s not at his original size, but he’s quite the lovely Wind Drake all the same! ❞

          ❝ … ARE YOU ALRIGHT? ❞ It mightn’t be proper, a stranger asking this of a child– perhaps it was more acceptable to pretend he hadn’t witnessed the boy take a fall, his pencils scattered across the floor. However, it was not something he could simply ignore— no longer. After retrieving what he could of the youth’s fallen belongings before they were lost to the throng of passing others, he then crouched to meet a sodden gaze, a tender worry befalling his features.

          ❝ Are you hurt? ❞ though the child wept, he shook his head, and a kindly smile touched the knight’s lips, ❝ … I see. That’s good– I’m glad. ❞ but before he could reclaim his things as they were offered, his father swept him into his arms, and accepted them on his son’s behalf. 

     Saber rose to his feet, smile waning for favour of his usual composure. A murmur of gratitude, barely audible above the thrum of crowds and their indistinct chatter, before the pair swiftly took their leave, permitting him merely a nod of acknowledgment in answer. It came as no surprise that he warranted their caution. He could understand, even if to harm was not the intent. Regardless, it pleased him to know the child was well in spite of it all.

     [ ❀ ] ; Without the company of her wind drake this time around, the princess sets off to take a gander at more of the city during a late afternoon walk. It’s not as if this place is unfamiliar to her, as the monarch has been here a few times before. Rather, it’s how quickly things change and are added to this city that amazes her and because of that, she always finds it prudent to wander around every so often to see just what may may or may not have changed.

     It’s during this promenade that upon turning a corner, the warrior comes across a familiar figure... Who is currently preoccupied with a child. Not wishing to intrude just yet as well as to simply watch how the other reacts to such a situation, Lenna hastily retreats behind the building’s corner once more, peeking out ever so slightly to watch.

     As the scene continues to unfold, the princess can’t help but smile at the other’s kindness, his simple actions telling of his very character. Though she hadn’t doubted his gentle heart before, this certainly cements her presumption into a simple truth. As the child is now scooped up into his parent’s arms and taken away, Lenna can’t help but chuckle lightly now at the knight’s awkwardness... But it seems that her giggles had been a bit too loud, as indicated by the figure’s sudden turn.

     ❝ Oh, uhm... Ahem... ❞
