Geer Steyn of the Netherlands became the 57th recipient of the J. Sanford Saltus Award for excellence in medallic art at FIDEM 2018 in Ottawa, Ontario on Tuesday. It was the first time in the 99 year history of the award that it was presented outside of New York City.
Germany won the 2018 Krause Coin of the Year Award for coins dated 2016. The winner is the 5 Euro silver “Planet Earth” coin with the new polymer ring technology.
