Scarlett smiled as he took her hand. She’d won the battle, now she just had to win the war. She’d tempted him thus far, being able to tempt him any further wouldn’t be difficult. Maybe she could completely derail him yet. It was always so fun seeing others bend to her whim, pushing them past their own moral or breaking points and knowing she was the only reason they did so. He only agreed to half an hour, but she’d see how long he’d stick around. If the drugs weren’t reason enough to stick around, she was certain she could offer him more tantalizing offers to get him to stick around to corrupt him further. “I already told you, it’s blow. Cocaine. Powder. Lines. Everything just feel so much better. Believe me, it’ll be well worth it.”

Emery gestured with her hand, as if it weren’t a big deal. “Well, I take brand new Jimmy Choos as acceptable payment. Although Daddy bought me these new stellar ones from France. Ooh, so beautiful!” Emery showed off with a huge smile on her face, still blushing. “Well, it wasn’t awkward, really at all. It was a blur of just…hot. It was so steamy, so…It was everything I could have asked for. Sudden, but just…wild.” Emery confided in her older cousin. “Well, I don’t know. It depends. I don’t know what he’s thinking, or feeling. Could have been a one time thing. I hope not, though. He’s so swoon worthy.” Emery paused and took a sip of her drink. “Headlines? You think so?”

Scarlett checked out the younger girl’s shoes enviously. She was ready to kill someone for a new pair of Jimmy Choos. She’d have to charge one to her mother’s card soon. Going without--even if only for a week or two--wasn’t something Scarlett did. Not at all. “Not bad Em. Might have to get myself a pair soon. Not matching obviously, but something nice. It’s been far too long since I’ve had a decent pair of shoes,” she said ignoring the pair sitting in her closet that had yet to be taken out of their box. She smirked as the younger girl talked about her sexual experience. “Good for you. Just remember--good sex is good and you’ll know it. And you deserve nothing less. And you should get it whenever you want. Just be smart enough to get on the bill and make him wrap it up so you don’t get knocked up.” She raised her eyebrow pointedly. “The daughter of the most famous couple in the city and the son of a Calloway? Please. You’re not making ripples, you’re making a tidal waves. You’ll be all over the headlines.”

It’ll help the pain. That sentence in particular overwhelmed with the sensation of his skin tightening around his bones, a little too tight for wear, and when that much like anxiety feeling pooled low in his belly, he wasn’t sure whether it was for the fear or hope that it actually would. Help the pain, that is, and unlike Scarlett, he wasn’t worrying about the pounding headache or pulsating pain in his nose, spreading to the bruised bags under his eyes. No, the pain he wanted to get rid of was of underlying source and the temptation had him gulping at the spit gathered at the back of his throat. Previously still fingers pushed the form on the red case in it, the first sign that he’d already made his decision, it’s just that he couldn’t focus on that right now, with the way his heart was nervously pounding against his chest, echoing loudly through his ears, and he could practically feel his pulse at the bottom of his feet too. “Just this once.” he whispered to her although no one was close enough to hear them, voice trembling with premises of panic and then some excitement and adrenaline. “Five minutes.”

Scarlett saw it slowly eating away at him. A slow smile spread across her lips, watching him struggle with the situation. She had no doubt that if she could tempt him this much then she could bribe him to go further. She could feel his resolve starting to falter and once it did, she would get inside his head and make him hurts. She was already planning her next step when he finally spoke. She smiled wider. She wouldn’t even need to put in the effort. She’d gotten to him already. “Five minutes? Please. That’s hardly enough to let the first high set in. We’ll need at least half an hour probably closer to an hour.” She stood and held out a hand to him, “So are you coming or not. Promise you won’t regret it. You’re going to feel like never before Grayson. Guarantee it.”
