Coldflash au idea: Wrong Conclusion

Thanks to googling grant gustin… Coldflash au idea!

Before Len figures out who the Flash is he keeps accidentally running into Barry.

Barry who is naturally fond of layers.

Barry who is probably fresh from a fight and still healing some scrapes.

Barry who knows Len is Captain Cold and is all flustered bad liar around him.

Len draws the wrong conclusion Barry is in an abusive relationship and tries to help Barry without being pushed away because of his own history of abuse.

[headcanon] do you tan, freckle, or burn when you spend time in the sun? How are you with tolerating high heat or high humidity? What's your favourite way to cool off in the heat?

“I uh burn...first. The tanning and freckling comes later. Pale skin and all. And I don’t get out much so there’s no consistent stimulation for the melanin production to continue at a constant enough rate to maintain much in the way of a darkening of the skin...” And even when he spent time outside these days he was usually covered from head to toe in his costume...though now, with his powers, the sunburn went away in hours not days, he didn’t peel any more, and his skin tanned up much quicker because his body’s adaptive abilities were off the charts apparently? “Personally, I’m not a fan of extremes, but I cope like everyone else...fans, ice cubes, slushies...but swimming? That’s the best cooldown on a hot, humid day...”

Kissing her always left him feeling like he was walking on air, dashing through clouds. In the blink of an eye Barry had her up in his arms bridal style and spun her around, grinning like an idiot. “Where do you wanna go?” he asked voice full of playful enthusiasm. “Home? Paris? Cancun? I’ll run us anywhere you want to go, Felicity.”

He felt light unweighted by the usual worries he’d come to associate with the responsibilities of the hand life had dealt him. Slowing to a stop he grinned at her, hitching her a little closer with a little heft of the arm behind her back, securing his grip.

The evening had started with Barry fighting against Weather Wizard. Sitting in Star City, Caitlin usually kept Felicity updated with everything going on in Central City and with The Flash. Things hadn’t been going well and Felicity had taken it upon herself to hack Cisco’s communicator so she could speak to Barry. Someone had to get through to him so he could get through this fight. 

Now, seconds after the fight ended, Barry stood in front of her, confessing how much he loved her. They had been dating for months now and things were good, minus the long distance between them but they managed to get through that most times.

“I will always be there for you, Barry.” She reached up to cup his face. “I can handle myself, most times, but I know I always have you to protect me as well.” Her eyes connected with his. “What can I say? We’re perfetly perfect for each other.”

Barry laughed a little breathless with the reminder of that very first kiss on a train bound for Starling City. “We really really are,” he agreed thumb caressing her cheek as he leaned in just a little farther so he could kiss her now.

Her lips were smooth and just a little tacky with lipstick and he loved it, leaned over her just a little more silently asking her to follow the movement and tip her head back so he could deepen the kiss. Her mouth parted willingly as she did and Barry felt an electric shiver race up his spine as he dipped his tongue into her mouth. Gloved fingers slid into her hair at the nape of her neck his thumb resting behind her ear as his other hand tightened hard around the arm of her chair.

He lived for this. For her. Why had it taken him so long to let this deep, intense...yearning in?

Felicity softly smiled as she heard those words come from Barry. Their relationship had been a little rough in the beginning, both scared to come to terms with their feelings. Now, they were very accepting of their feelings. “I’m in love with you too, Barry. I have been for a long time.”

Barry stepped forward, just a half step, but it brought him close enough that they were breathing the same air. He’d raced to the foundry tonight with the lightning on his heels and feeling about to burst after having realized the reality of his life. Felicity was what mattered. Hearing her voice - after the Geek Goddess had hacked into Cisco’s line to the communicator in the suit midbattle with the Weather Wizard - had not only fortified him, but put a determined and yet oddly buoyant lightness into his flying feet. Mark Mardon was on his way back to Iron Heights (for however long that would hold him) and Barry...well, Barry was standing a handful of seconds and hundreds of miles from where he’d ended things with Mardon.

Bracing his hands on the arms of Felicity’s chair, Barry leaned in, green eyes earnest. “No, Felicity. I know for sure now. When Mardon started threatening the people I care about...it was you that I thought of. You I started worrying about. How could the Arrow possibly protect you if Mardon of all people went after you? I almost started to hyperventilate! Me!! ...and then there you were... that voice in my ear, telling me I can do anything....”

His eyes dropped to her mouth for a brief second. He really did love it when she wore lipstick that nearly matched the suit. Almost as if he himself had laid claim to that part of her...hell, to all of her. She really did look stunning in reds. Reaching up he brushed a lock of hair behind her ear then cupped her cheek in his gloved palm.

“Thank you...for being so...so patient with me. I know I have a lot of hang ups,” he added the words choking up on a giddy, humor-filled laugh.

You can’t tell me you don’t see Len driving this around Central City.

This is literally his gun on wheels.

And Barry sees the truck driving by, down the streets and stops it. Sometimes he doesn’t even buy ice cream, he literally stops them just to gush over the science and how amazing the entire thing is and how difficult it must’ve been for Len to get permission to have liquid nitrogen onboard a vehicle and Len is totally crushing on this nerdy man child who gets excited over ice cream trucks.

Also, I’m willing to bet Len knew a bit about the science already and maybe the story of it is amazing. Like the day started off really shitty and nothing is going right and he’s just like "damn maybe I should turn to a life of crime”, but decides to think it over while getting totally shit faced at his fave bar. Except, he ends up drunkenly pitching the idea to a stranger named Cisco, who just so happens to work at STAR labs, and they get the business off the ground together.

And suddenly, everything in Len’s life is falling into place.

Ooo! And Len pitched the idea to Cisco originally and Cisco is totally down to help him but he also has a bit of trouble on the science of it so he enlists the help of Hartley (who still works at STAR) and together – after lots of arguments– they figure it out! And Hartley wasn’t in it for the money or recognition. He just loves proving that he’s smarter than Cisco.

So picture business partners!Cisco and Len just swimming in money okay we need this

OMG @nova-arcania YOUR POST GAVE ME THIS IDEA What if Barry still has his powers? So yeah he’s still the nerd who stops the truck to drool over it, but he’s also the resident superhero who stops in the middle of a fight to replenish his energy with ice cream from Len’s Nitropod. So imagine that situation. Len having a crush on Barry Allen, the huge nerd AND The Flash, who has made his ice cream truck more popular than ever. The man in the costume who flashes over, swipes the ice cream, and leaves bills on the counter in less than a second and Len can’t help but smile and look on in amazement.

Although, in Barry’s defense, there was no way he could have possibly guessed that Leonard Snart would be here. Here being the newly opened Central City Children’s Center opening ceremony. It was a charity event and likely there was something the thief wanted in amongst the silent auction donations, but Barry had wasted no time in striding up behind the very well-dressed criminal mastermind, snagging Cold’s arm by the elbow and bodily directing him to the meeting room off the back of the gymnasium sized room. To his relief Cold had glanced at him just briefly the moment Barry had touched him and from there went along willingly with Barry’s manhandling.

Once they were in the classroom sized room, Barry turned and pushed the doors shut. Then he faced Snart with wide green eyes and his brow furrowed in concern and apprehension.

“Please tell me that you’re not here to steal something from the auction,” he stated, his voice as pleading as the stage whisper would allow. “The proceeds are going to less fortunate kids! That’s cold even for you.”

It might also be entirely necessary to get Cold gone before the not-silent auction portion of the evening began because, thanks to Iris, Barry himself would be up on that block before too long. She'd signed him up and only told him once it was official in print. He'd been pretty much alright with auctioning off a night of his time for the good cause...until Cold showed up and now it was just going to be embarrassing.

Eddie finds out Barry has a crush on Leonard and after seeing how much Barry likes him, promises to help them get together!

It’s a huge disaster, really. And everyone is weirded out because both Barry and Eddie are terrible liars so when people ask “Why are you guys hanging out so much all of a sudden?” There’s a lot of stuttering and stuff. Which kind of upsets Iris because yeah she’s glad they’re getting along! But they’re obviously hiding something and she’s tired of being left out of the loop. She probably tries asks Eddie of he’s cheating on her with Barry in which he laughs in her face for an hour.

But onto the Coldflash: Eddie is a terrible matchmaker and an even worse wingman. They probably do ridiculous stake outs and stalk Len to see what he likes. Len would totally catch them and they have no excuse. They probably accuse Len of stalking them and run away.

Or they catch just Lisa at a crime scene and when she’s brought in for questioning, Eddie is all “So, Lisa. Does your brother like men? Does he have a type? What’s his ideal first date and does he put out?” And Lisa so damn confused.

When Len busts her out, she’s all “Lenny, I think that blond detective is interested in you.” In which Len is like “Ahh. That’s why he was following me around.”

But Eddie did end up getting answers (Lisa actually thought Eddie wanted Len so she tells him all kinds of information on Len because she wants her brother to date and be happy, even if it’s with a cop) so he and Barry come up with a plan to “Woo Leonard Snart”.
