Basic Personality: Aria is bubbly and easily excitable. She’s friendly and always willing to help others out - she and Jo are best friends - and she becomes easily attached. She has lower self esteem and a lot of fears (she hates that she’s a vampire, despises her existence but tries to hide it because she feels bad making people worry about her)
Basic History: Aria came from a broken and abusive household where her illness (lower intestinal cancer) ruled her life until she went into remission around eleven years old. She was a musical prodigy specializing in the violin (she later taught a younger Jo how to play). She dabbled in addictions - alcohol, mainly - which lead to her being kidnapped and forced to join a coven. she was changed into a vampire against her will, and was originally going to be kept as one of the many concubines for their leader.
she eventually escapes; later marrying a mob bosses son (their species were merfolk) and having a son with him. he dies and she’s currently struggling with her role as a single mother

Basic Personality: Nihara is kind and shy, raised in a wealthier home so she is accustomed to a certain level of manners being expected while in public. she enjoys spending time with her charge, Melody -- the two have an inseparable bond. Nihara is softspoken and optimistic, however she speaks very little. she can be fiercely protective of those she loves.
Basic History: Nihara was raised in a loving household with her two doting parents. she was an only child, adopted as a baby, and was highly treasured. she was, of course, spoiled and received many luxuries. all of this never went to her head, however, and she remains humble. she was enrolled in a ballet academy with a girl named Irissa -- who grew to depend on her quite heavily due to her lower self esteem and general fear for other humans. the two girls were mentored by Melody, a girl older than them by three years. they soon grew very close.
however, Melody was kidnapped, abused, and murdered by a man they all had trusted.
instead of staying down, like corpses usually would, Melody rose up -- and killed the man that had killed her before going to Nihara’s house to ask about what was going on. Nihara comes from a long line of priestesses who dealt with supernatural beings.
Melody, at the tender age of thirteen, had died and came back. she is now a remnant, someone who had died such a traumatic death that the soul does not leave the body and instead continues to pilot it as if nothing had happened.
Nihara, who was ten, became the young priestess that could keep Melody’s soul from rotting (and turning Melody into a monster) through sharing her life force with Melody.
Years have gone by, and Melody’s body hasn’t changed. Irissa and Nihara had grown into young women. Their bond is still very strong.
“ you smell so good . . .” came a sleepy purr, Josie’s arms instinctively wrapping around her girlfriend’s waist. “ can we stay in bed for five more minutes? please? ” her wings were out and everything, and Josie was just so comfortable. “ mmm . . . loving this. ”
You ever start doing something and then leave it to it’s own devices while you do something else and then get distracted and forget about it?
He just did.
Which is how he’s ended up with quite possibly the largest sunflower he’s ever seen.
“Huh…”
“ oh, wow . . .” the girl stops to stare, her hand subconsciously reaching to try to touch the flower petals -- but alas, she was too short. “ what an amazin’ baby . . .”
she turns to look at him, smiling. “ did you grow this? it’s gorgeous! ”
gentle fingers were weaving red strands into small braids, then are secured with bobby pins. beside them there were flowers -- which are now being added. “ thank you for lettin’ me do this to you, Kiri, ” Josie smiles, hugging the male gently from behind. “ I needed shorter hair to practice on -- I gotta prove to my sisters that Theo isn’t the only big sister who can braid hair and make flower crowns! ”
“ don’t be sorry, baby . . .” Josie soothed, taking the girl’s hand. “ we can always sew it up, or get you a new one. you don’t gotta worry about anythin. osie will fix it, I promise. ”
❝ you’re the one who can’t stop moving. ❞ while his tone monotone, there was amusement in the way his lips twitched into a half-smile. he let jo move about as she wished, placing his hands on her waist once she got comfortable. ❝ are we comfortable now? are you sure? ❞ his lips twitched again and didn’t fight it, taking his hands from her waist to wrap around her.
arms wrap around his shoulders as she leans in to nuzzle him gently, her nose brushing against his, before she pecks his cheek. “ mm . . . I think so? ” she murmurs, stifiling a yawn by laying her head on his chest. exhaustion snakes its way through her body, & she stretches, emitting a soft sound. “ you smell lovely. really makes me happy, yanno? ”
“ of course! ” Josie smiles lovingly despite not knowing this girl, then she is kneeling to reach Eri’s level. “ what’cha need, sweetheart? ” her voice is gentle, a hand extended as offering. was she lost?
