So let me get this straight. Eddie sacrificed himself to avenge Chrissy yet he is still considered to be her murderer. He also sacrificed himself to safe Hawkins yet everybody thinks he is a cult leader and hates him.

Also I'm sorry but going alone against a huge swarm of bloodthirsty creatures does not seem very heroic. It seems stupid. It was absolutely unnecessary. Eddie deserved better.
