summary: FRUSTRATION TOWARDS WEEDS, hugs :), bored reader
A/n: look ok ik it isn’t the best but i haven’t wrote in months and it’s almost 4am😭
Ever since you started living on the camp grounds things have been a bit…odd? strange maybe? It’s not like you didn’t enjoy your time! you just weren’t used to not being in the city- or well ten minutes from a 7/11.
Jason tended to go out a lot (doing what? you’re not so sure, but you like to envision that he’s singing to birds like snow white)
so you were often left alone to your own advances, whether that be trying to learn how to sew or playing tic tac toe against yourself- to cut to the chase you were bored. You read all the books, used all the empty notebooks left from previous campers- hell you’ve might as well have learned how to tap dance at this point.
In your splurge of wanting to learn something new you ended up re-reading a old diary
(because let’s face it, we’re all a little nosey)
on one of the pages the old owner described how her and her friends made flower crowns during the camps free-time hours, while she didn’t say how to make them- she did draw a cute little flower crown at the end of the page, which did make you smile a little bit.
‘wait….i could try to learn how to make flower crowns!’ you thought to yourself before standing up and running out the cabin door. (then silently coming back inside to pick up after yourself-) While there wasn’t many flowers around there was the occasional daisy or dandelion which in your mind resembled a flower enough! So off to picking you went, some didn’t have long enough stems while others just became limp as soon as you picked them.
Soon hours passed after many MANY failed attempts- and Jason was a bit confused as he watched you glare down at the limp falling apart weeds. Soon enough he decided to walk up to you, while quiet as hell- you can still tell he’s standing beside you. So glancing up you notice him cocking his head to the side like a lost puppy.
“I’m trying to make you a flower crown but no matter what i do they just won’t stay together! every time they even slightly begin to form a circular shape it ends up falling apart! how can kids do this so easily” you whined out in a frustrated manor. standing up, you held the only non limp daisy towards Jason.
“I know it’s not super special or anything but..i just wanted to give you something…”
he reached forward for the flower and held it as delicately as possible before embracing you in a gentle hug, snuggling your face into his chest as you wrapped your arms around him you sighed contently.
Maybe being bored is worth it if this is how you’re rewarded in the end <3
