short biography:
For most of his life, Sora has been a hero, whether he wanted to be or not. Since he was fourteen, he’s crossed worlds, battled monsters born of shadow, and sealed doorways no one else could even see. The Keyblade chose him, and he answered its call with unrelenting courage and hope. But after the Great Battle of Elias, and the collapse of too many realities teetering on the edge of darkness, Sora left. Not because he wanted to run—but because he had to make sure the damage didn’t spread. The cost of saving one world is often abandoning another. Now, he’s back. Elias hasn’t changed as much as Sora has. He tries to settle in, to be just a young man living in a strange city with some sort of peace. He helps train new Keyblade wielders. He aids the council when he can. He walks the same streets now that he once defended with his life. But beneath the warmth in his smile is a grief that lingers—for the boy he left behind. Riku. His best friend. His partner in light. His everything. They fought side by side for years. Sora died for him once. He would again. But now that they’re both here, alive, whole… Riku seems distant. Focused. Closed off. He’s training, always training, like he’s trying to fix the whole city with his bare hands. Like he doesn’t see the way Sora looks at him...the way he always has. It’s not bitterness. It’s not even heartbreak. It’s just longing. The kind that sits quietly in your chest and doesn’t let go. Sora’s love for Riku isn’t romantic in the traditional sense—it’s older, deeper. It’s spiritual. And if Riku never returns it the same way? Well. Sora will still protect him. Still be there. Because that’s what love means, even when it hurts. And besides… the city isn’t done with him yet. Darkness never really disappears. So for now, Sora waits. He lives. He hopes. And maybe—just maybe—he finds his own light in the city of Elias.
