I have a full-time job. I have the best job in this town that doesn't require some sort of degree. I make far past the federal minumum wage. 3x more than the federal minimum wage in fact. Yet I can't afford to move me and my partner out into a simple, pet friendly, apartment. I can afford rent. But I can't afford the security deposits.

My partner, our cat, and I live in a physically and mentally abusive household that challenges us daily and we are both on the cusp of giving up. I moved here initially with the goal of getting them out of here. (You can see how that went. The nest egg I had saved up was used for necessities that they had lacked.) It's been a year and 4 months since then and our situation keeps getting worse.

My Partner is my everything. We are both Neurodivergent (They are Diagnosed while I am simply suspected to be.) and they are physically disabled. They've tried getting jobs around town that they could do with their physical condition for months, even opting in to getting a VR coach + job coach that could help them. Yet they haven't gotten any call backs from anywhere. Recently, their VR Coach gave up on them and dropped them from working with their Job Coach entirely (with no warning might I add). They'd apply for Disability, yet Disability in this Country ('merica) requires Job Experience which they can't get. Their only other idea for a job requires that we move out, as this household, and it's other inhabitants, does not support what they want to do.

Recently my hours have been laxing at my job (out of my control. Things have changed at this place and our numbers are lower so that we can get used to it). Before then, I was working 100 hours every paycheck (2 weeks). Yet that still wasn't enough. We had some money saved but due to these hour cuts, that all disappeared.

I want to get us both out of here before something else somehow gets worse and we both just... snap.

How to help

Are you okay?

No. Im not. It's suppose to be my birthday month and i can sense something will go wrong. It always does. I'm not excited for anything. These last few days have been horrible. Not only was i discourage for answering questions about my own interests, but i have been pretty much censored everywhere an continue to make new enemies wherever i go. I'm not a social person. I struggle to socialize at all... No matter what server I'm in i somehow find myself outcasted an isolated for reasons i don't understand? I feel old. I am old. And im alone with no friend circle. I feel alone even among people who i consider to be my friends but i am just there for emotional support...

Venting to people leaves me discarded like a doll months later when they no longer want to talk to me again. I've continued to mess up day after day... So maybe no I'm not meant to talk to people at all? I can't keep pleasing others to fit their dumb little toxic positive circle... I am. Just. Different. It's always been this way. And there is nothing i can do about it.

So what is your page based around? i keep seeing rainworld? is it mainly rainworld or other randoms from the list i read.

It is multi fandom, i don't do mainly rainworld, that's how other creators end up quitting, i like drawing lots of things, im just really slow. Expect a multitude of things from me, maybe even a new fandom if im in the mood.

Here is my submission and references(big thanks to @susivoi and @dennisd7231 )

Ferro tends to be overconfident. He is not egotistical, but he is prone to overestimating his capabilities. He is also a bit of a show off.

He doesn't have any major speech quirks. I don't even have a voice headcannon for him because he was originally written to be mute.

Some example lines. They will be very generic.

Casual small talk

"You ever meet one of those sol 3 colonists? Those guys can sure cook."

"Sometimes... I dream about cheese"

"You ever try to eat a piece of steel rebar?"

"That killer isn't getting the jump on me, I'll tell you that"

When threatened

(In a fake french accent) "Just lay your weapon down and walk away"

"I don't want a fight. But I assure you. I will defend myself"

"That knife won't do anything. Just drop it and go"

"Set that weapon down and we can talk this over"

When it comes to gore, I encourage you to go all out. Make it look like one of the death scenes from invincible. He has a healing factor, he's not wolverine level tough, but you had better be sure he isn't just playing dead, lest he show up a week later with some new scars to get his lick back.

When it comes to his abilities, his are kinda busted. He has nanomachines in his bloodstream and tissues, which harden to decrease injuries from attacks and allow him to heal from what would normally be lethal wounds. He can also regurgitate nanites and use them to either fasion a shiv or upgrade a weapon he finds (turn a rock into a flashbang, turn a spear into an electric spear) His teeth are also tazers. He's not indestructible, but killing him takes some effort. His Achilles heel is the fact that all his abilities require energy, and he can run out fairly quickly as shown in the first reference.

I would prefer he be either a victim or a survivor, but I'm fine with all 3 really.

So in your AU. Is the titular "rain world" a planet like earth? Or is it something that would require a bit more explanation.

Rainworld does not describe the planet. The name is just a metaphor as there is no canon name for the planet we explore in game. I blame the devs for not giving us a name. Is it like earth? In my AU yes just bigger and if i had to snag a comparison i'd say about half the size of saturn. Increased oxygen, lighter atmosphere, an giant fauna an flora animals that will sometimes be exaggerated. For reference you can take James Cameron's Avatar as i took inspiration from it. The regions can be their own countries if they wanted to an the iterators superstructures are twice the size of normal ones, for them it is not recommended to switch locations unless they have the resources and it depends on perfect timing at the risk of causing ecological damage to the surrounding areas.

I may have tongue twisted this so my fault if this didn't make any sense.

So. Ive been gone for a while. Wtf was i doing anyway?I for some reason can't grasp my situation that any time I try to take in any living thing into my home they end up dying.

I tried an failed to raise cattipilars. Something i remember how to do an take a break asay from the dramas of the internet. Should have been easy' right? wrong. Day by day each one kept dying after the other. I didn't understand what I was doing wrong? As if I'm destined to reminded of how much of a failure I've become.

I feel like the harbinger of death. It doesn't matter what i do or how much research, money, and effort goes into caring for any creature they just die for no reason or by forces beyond my control. I struggle to understand why i fail to keep anything alive. This entire month has ruined me and my only effort to stay happy was drawing.

No I don't feel okay. I feel miserable an depressed an grief is not something I handle well. I should get over it but I can't. Obviously I am flawed.
