— my sole belief is that roleplay should be fun and relaxing. a lot of people use this site as an outlet for their creativity and even their stress, you know? this is a sanctuary. — that being said, it needn't be plagued by competitiveness, elitism, or judgement. let people interpret a character the way they want to. simple as that. we all see things in different ways. we all have our own ways of interpreting, analyzing, and putting forth our knowledge. we all have different styles. I could go on. we're all different! we shouldn't /have/ to fit any mold or standard set by anybody but ourselves. do you! duplicates -- unite. be nice to each other. don't feel intimidated by one another. seriously. I know it's easier said than done, but the feeling of competitiveness needs to end. we are all one. we're all here to write and have fun!

|| I thought I just swing by and post a little update so that everybody knows what's going on — especially my lovely thread partners. So, as few of you may know, I just returned from a four-day camping trip where I had little to no cell service. It sucked, but it was so refreshing to get in touch with nature, yanno? I got back late yesterday and was feeling a bit under the weather; I thought that a good night's rest would do the trick, but it unfortunately didn't and now I'm practically bed-ridden with the flu. Just my luck. I'll try and /maybe/ get to threads tomorrow, but I'm sure you all are aware of the terrors that the flu can bring — there's no telling where it'll go from here. I surely hope to be better though since I start up classes again in a matter of days and I've been absolutely neglecting my writing. However, I've been on here checking my messages and inbox daily, so if any of you need me, contact me there! Sorry about the long post, by the way. I can't cut them on mobile but I figured that this was sorta important. Heh. Be back soon. x ||

I FOUND THIS IN SOMEONE'S RULES, AND IT'S RELEVANT

I like to know my writing partner. This isn’t always necessary, and if you’re not the sort of person who tries to get chummy with their roleplaying buddies, that’s absolutely fine, but in my experience, the plots and characters that last the longest are the ones with the players that I can message at 3 in the morning with an idea without feeling like I’m bothering them.
