Hey Scereks!

As you may have noticed, we did not get around to running a Scerek Week 2018, but fear not. We do have an event planned: Scerek Holiday Special 2018!

Just like the last time we did this, this is a mini 3-day event being held the week before Christmas. So from December 14th-16th 2018, post all your Christmas related fanworks on these days.

Here are themes for each day and they are:

14 December (Friday) - Christmas songs/carols: Turns out Derek’s a lovely singer! Or maybe Scott ropes Derek into caroling with the pack. Or maybe carolers come by the loft and interrupt Scott and Derek’s date night.

15 December (Saturday) - Cookies: Maybe Scott finds out Derek’s great at baking. Or Scott needs help to bake cookies and Derek’s the only one who offers his help.

16 December (Sunday) - Christmas tree: Maybe Derek and Scott go shopping for a tree for the pack. Maybe Scott invites Derek to trim the tree.

This event is just for fun. You do not have to follow the themes if you don’t want to. You can come up with your own if you want. And you’re also not obligated to do all three days either. Everything is up to you. The most important thing is that you enjoy creating fanworks for our two favorite guys and spread a little holiday cheer along the way.

It's okay if we do our own thing for the Scerek Halloween event right?

I sincerely apologize for not seeing this message when you sent it in, anon. The past month has been super hectic for me due to personal reasons, so I could not pay attention the event so much as I hoped.

Instead, I think I’ll turn this ask into a PSA for future events.

Please remember that no matter what event that gets posted up here, it will always be okay to do your own thing, these events are for here for two things and two things only:

-  to increase content for the ship-  to have fun exploring the ship.

This means that no matter what the event, no matter what theme that I might come up with, it will always be okay to do your own thing. It doesn’t matter if you follow all of the themes, some of the themes or none of the themes, if the event  is tagged, it will get reblogged.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Scerek Halloween event. There were quite a few amazing works that we got from you guys. Hopefully, we’ll get to do this event again next year!

(On a side note: Apologies for the lack of posts and the late reblogs for the Scerek Halloween event. There was an family medical emergency and I’ve had to place a lot of my focus there. I’m really sorry that I let this event slip past.)

Scerek Halloween Mini-Event → Creature from the Black Lagoon

“Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, eh Scotty?”

Veterinarian Dr. Scott McCall joins an expedition, led by renowned jungle explorer Derek Hale, to find a rare species of an extinct fish out in the Amazon jungle. However, what they find within the Black Lagoon is much more sinister and dangerous than they would ever hope.

Scerek Halloween Mini-Event → The Mummy

“It’s kinda like that episode of Scooby-Doo with the mummy, except people are dying.”

Scott McCall is a nerdy Egyptology student who joins his first archaeological expedition in Egypt to excavate one of the biggest finds in Egyptian history: the lost city of Hamunaptra. Led by two mercenaries, Derek and Braeden, the team discovers and accidentally resurrects the mummy of the once high priest Imhotep. Seeking his lost love (who happens to look exactly like Scott!), the mummy is ready to take vengeance on the people of Egypt and set a plague upon the land once again.

Scerek Halloween Mini-Event → Frankenstein

“He’s alive, Scotty! He’s alive!”

When Derek dies in a horrible car wreck, Scott and Stiles make it their mission to reanimate his corpse, using the body parts of several people they picked up at the morgue. The procedure goes without a hitch, but that doesn’t mean “FrankenDerek” isn’t without his side effects. And his little antics alert the town to take action.
