“I’m really really /really/ sorry that I didn’t come by more often. It was because I well…” he stopped for a second even though he had her close in his arms then continued. “I have feelings for you and I didn’t know if you’d have them back and well being with me involves being in danger and getting hurt and alot more things and I didn’t want you to get hurt. After all l had been through, I didn’t want to see you get hurt like the past friends. I’ve had in the past. I had a fear of losing you.” he replied in holding his arms around her now. His expression was slightly emotion wise and fear and sadness was in his eyes when he said that.

Stephanie rested her head against him, burying her nose into his shoulder and closing her eyes. She had never felt more comfortable than she did right then, with his arms wrapped around her. She was calm—happy. “Doctor… don’t apologize…” She looked up at him now. “I love you, okay?”

He nodded trying to put the past aside and behind him just to be with her. He knew she just wanted him to be there. He gently kissed her head. He meant it though in the nod it was hard for him to say love. So he whispered it gently to her in her ear. That he loved her back. “I’m glad. It does make me happy. Sorry I missed alot of dinners.” he replied. “and alot of nights.”

“But you can make up for them,” Stephanie reminded him. She wrapped her arms firmly around his neck. She was so relieved to hear that he loved her.

He still was sorry that he avoided for one little thing and didn’t think how many years went by. “How about a ride with me on the T.A.R.D.I.S. with me and Sky, shes kind of like a relative, more like a daughter kinda of confusing.” he replied holding her close securely arms around her looking down.

“I’d like that,” Stephanie said with a bright, fiery smile. She was pleased to meet Sky.

He smiled in taking her hand in leading her back to his T.A.R.D.I.S. in going to the door with her. “Sky this is Stephanie, Steph this Sky.” he smiled in going in with her.
