Hello!
13, 15, 21 about THE blorbo ༼ つ ◕‿◕ ༽つ
answering for elisabeth
is there any crime, any wrongdoing your Blorbo could commit that would make you stop loving them and remove them from your hyperfixation entirely?
I think if she had raped someone, esp a child, I would probably not be big into her anymore
have you ever gotten involved in ship wars?
back in my twin peaks days kind of. not my proudest moment but that whole fandom is really toxic but yes.
if your Blorbo is from a live-action media, are you also a fan of the actor who plays them?
um okay so it really depends. a lot of the musical actors I really like (Valentini, Kraus, Ock). I'll only really get into any of the live action adaptation people if I really really really like the adaptation (i follow Dominique Devenport on Instagram and keep tabs on her career, but that's basically all)
4, 5, 6 about de blorbo
(Making this about Ladislaus, naturally)
4. what's the thing you love the most about your Blorbo?
The tragedy and suffering. And Veréb Tomi.
5. what's the thing you dislike the most about your Blorbo?
The sexual harassment
6. if you could talk to your Blorbo, what would you say to them?
Get the fuck away from Garai Anna or else I will throw you out the window🫶
Hello, friend!
9, 14, 30 from the blorbo ask :)
thank you for the ask, friend :)
9. describe your Blorbo in 3 words
obligation, dogmatic, lonely
14. have you ever distanced yourself from your Blorbo / have you ever left a fandom because people in the fandom were being too toxic?
no, not yet. I've never left a fandom on purpos, it's always just fading away
30. do you think this character will still be your Blorbo three years from now on?
maaayyyybeeee. i can imagine that fj will become like Aaron Burr. so I'm not actively interacting, but he's always in a special place in my heart
ELISABETH + letterboxd reviews
ummm
I've decided to read A Pál utcai fiúk to my parents (I was that impressed, and I don't want to be the only one who suffers in this house /affectionately). Yesterday we finally finished it.
Today, after watching the Argentina–Egypt football match, my mum came to me, and the only thing she said was, "You know, the redshirts lost. As they did yesterday."

Let's see....
4, 6, 10 from the book ask...
4. what sections of a bookstore do you browse?
world history but it always disappoints me 😔. I also take a look at literary fiction and classics, but unless I have a specific thing I'm looking for what typically grabs my attention is stuff in fiction or thriller.
6. what books have you read in the last month?
man not a lot tbh. I think I finished off my last few wwi books, as well as skimming through The Delectable Negro (I wanted to read more closely but it was due back at the library ☹️). life's been kinda hectic but I'm currently reading a biography of empress zita, Haslip's book on Schratt and FJ, and Tschudi's Elisabeth biography.
10. do you have a guilty fav?
plenty of writers who have since done horrible stuff/horrible stuff they were doing at the time came to light, but I don't feel like mentioning them tbh. I do like books about children/teenagers hanging out during summertime, even ones that aren't very well written
Is the book ask still on?
9, 12, 16
It sure is :)
9. when do you tend to read most?
I'm a philology student, so nobody is interested in when I tend to read. I just must do it all the time.
But to be serious, I don't think I have any particular time or state when I read more or less. I read almost all the time and in any mood. The question is what I usually tend to read in a certain condition. But probably the most effective time for reading is on vacation. Then I have much more time and don't need to worry about deadlines and other tasks I must cope with.
12. did you enjoy any compulsory high school readings?
I was that strange person in the class who liked almost everything we read and got very sad that nobody would discuss it with me. From the high school, my two absolute favourites were War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy and King Stakh's Wild Hunt by Uladzimir Karatkievich. The first contributed to my special interest in Napoleonic wars and the latter to my undying love to Belarusian culture (and Karatkievich himself, yeah).
From the books from university, I can't help but mention Das Nibelungenlied, Die Leiden des jungen Werthers by Goethe, Le Misanthrope by Molière, Nathan der Weise by Lessing and Great Expectations by Dickens.
16. how many books have you read this year?
I don't know why, but I still haven't started to take notes on books that I read, and I don't count them either. But from what I can recall, starting with September, it would be 21 novels, 30 plays, 3 big poems, and 3 theoretical works (two in literature and one on philosophy). I've probably missed something, and I also didn't count small stories and textbooks.
HEADS UP PEOPLE!
I really wanna try something new so go ahead! Inbox me with suggestions and we'll see how it turns out (・∀・)

(cca 2005 Vienna Revival version -my absolute favourite- remastered)
Maybe you and @burrs-aroacemay know some stuff about it...
Any notable facts about/if Franz Joseph had mistresses?
(maybe I'm too late to the info...)
Hi! You're absolutely not too late. A lot has been said and written on the topic (much of which is not true or heavily exaggerated), and while I have zero professional qualifications, I do like to think that I've done quite a bit of reading on this and am alright at sussing out what's actual fact and what's exaggeration. (obviously @burrs-aroace can add anything that I missed, though I did consult with him before posting)
If the Trón musical was historically accurate
(Meaning by that, Mátyás is 13 years old)
Just to be clear, I hate the whole musical and story. BUT! I like the idea to make a historical accurate stage drama, not musical. But not in this form, like the Erkel gives us…
