okay! no idea when i’ll get to these because i still have things i owe both here & on ruby’s blog, but like this for a starter! they’ll likely be set after the latest ep, but some might not. depends what ideas spring to mind. capping at 4 for now, but ims are open for plotting, etc. mutuals only.

"Winter?" the middle Schnee turns to face her elder sister. Weiss looks troubled. "Do you... think we abandoned Whitley, when we chose to leave?"

“Perhaps we did— if the situation had been that simplistic.” 

Arms cross, subtly gripping onto fabric at the very thought of feeling remorse for the paths they had both chosen to take.

“We did nothing but leave behind that—” Miserable excuse of a father. Scum of all Remnant. Grip on her arm tightening, she bites back any such remarks. She mustn’t allow her emotions to overcome her. Had she not been reminded of that very fact earlier today? “—our father, Weiss.”

After a moment, a sigh escapes her lips, unfolding her arms to approach her sister. Letting the slightest hint of concern slip through the cracks of her icy front, she delicately places a hand on Weiss’s arm, attempting to reassure.

“You have nothing to feel guilty over. The only other option would have been to spend the rest of your days here, under his roof.”

Hand moving off of her sisters arm, it returns to her side as she straightens herself up, standing tall.

“You made your choice. We both did. Regardless of what Whitley thinks, I know it was by far the best decision I’ve ever made.”

Though her words may seem cold, more distanced from the idea than she should be, Winter is fully aware of how there had been no perfect outcome to their beyond complicated family situation. She also knows that Weiss is more than capable of deciding for herself how she feels about the fact. Although Winter herself certainly doesn’t feel good about leaving Whitley behind, she refuses to be held back by any regrets when it comes to this particular topic. She refuses to entertain the alternative— to consider how life would have been had they chosen otherwise.
