Initial Conclusion:
Mental instability is a major problem in todayâs society. More and more people are being diagnosed as having anxiety, bipolar disorder, and depression. These symptoms, if not diagnosed and treated, can lead to the deadly consequences that weâve seen. The government must see this issue and give aid to schools and health organizations to profile people and get them the therapy they need whether its medication or having meetings with a psychiatrist. Harris and Klebold could have had treatment for their mental instabilities from bullying and 12 more people would be alive. Adam Lanza and Seung-Hui Cho could have had medication and treatment for their disabilities and 59 lives would have been saved. The excuse to a lack of funds is not a valid reason anymore for any treatment, and no more children should have to die before someone sees the connection is established. A simple diagnoses and treatment plan is all that is needed to prevent school shootings.
