My cartoon for The Times of 26/5/26.
A welcome intervention from the pope
My cartoon for Encompass, 20/5/26. Any excuse to draw a ship...
My cartoon for Encompass, 29/4/26.
We've come some way from the Tudors' idea of government, and that is something to be proud of. Perhaps the US are learning that democracy, for all its flaws and frustrations, is something to be cherished and preserved. Better hang on to your head, I mean hat, Melania...
And here's my latest one for The Times, 14/4/26.
We all need some good news, and the end of Victor Orban definitely is very good news.
Drawn for Encompass, 4/4/26. This subject and its contractions had already been tackled by many of my collegues. But it works.
From The Times, 2/4/26. This one was also done with digital colour. The Artemis 2 launch was planned for around midnight on the day when I drew this. I had to be a bit careful, just in case. Therefore perhaps a slightly bland idea. But it's a nice image, I hope.
Not so much light relief, but a look at something other than events in the Gulf. Also a slight departure for me, as the colour is all digital. From The Times, 30/3/26.
A bit of light relief for The Times, 28/3/26.
Here's on I did for Encompass...unfortunately, two weeks after I drew it, it is still current. Except that Netayahu is now bombing Lebanon...
My latest cartoon for The Times in London, 23/3/26. Three people, Netanyahu, Putin and Trump, are responsible for so much misery in the world right now...
Here's another bit of publicity for my musical effort. I've just made it available on bandcamp as well.
Do I like it? Yes, I do. The production is amazing. I was lucky to work with someone who is way out of my league. Check it out, you'll be surprised.
It's funny: often, when drawing a cartoon, I can't help but wonder how well it might do on social media. I know I shouldn't; it's just vanity and really a waste of time. The only thing that should matter is how I feel about it. Did I do my best? Am I happy with it?
Well, I had very few hopes for this one. Among all the stuff about Epstein and Mandelson I didn't think anyone would be interested. But it did surprisingly well. Not sensationally well, but ok. So you never know...
Do I like it? it's ok. I don't mind it, as they sometimes say in these parts.
Now for something completely different: you can find my 6-track EP on most platforms, such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, amazon music, Deezer, Tidal, pandora, iTunes Store, Boomplay etc.
I enjoyed putting these songs together, working with the great and very talented Martin York – and creating the artwork, experimenting in a different style.
Another recent one from The Times. Though drawn a few weeks ago, it remains sadly current and will probably remain so for some time...
This is a favourite from a recent stint at The Times. Though the Christmassy feel makes it somewhat out of date already. I wish I could always get away with drawing such a simple image, with so much space...
My cartoon for Encompass, 22/11/25.
I couldn't be bothered with all that Trump isn't getting the Nobel Peace Prize stuff. Everyone's done it and he gets too much attention anyway. This one was drawn for Encompass, 11/10/25.
